Took the Sonic in for a noisy something or other (my guess was water pump) - turns out it's the water pump. $156 aftermarket...2.5 hrs labour at $128/hr
. Could've paid $100 more for a factory GM pump...I'll take my chances... First major repair in it's life.
While I was there went and looked at the Buick Regal GS they just got in. It's a good looking car. Why does every car have piddly little short 19" seats? Oh, then I noticed you can actually pull them out a couple of inches...well that's nice. Otherwise it's like they're all made for people 5'4" and under. FFS...one more reason to keep my Fusion. Real people seats. Fack perceived leg room - gotta be marketing people's fault, right?
Anyway...we couldn't figure out how the hell you open the hatch. No release on the key fob, no buttons in the car, no button on the bottom of the hatch lid, no foot kick sensor...WTF? We're both stumped. Finally I push on the Buick logo (it felt like you could pull it off, or like it was mounted on rubber) - and Pop! Hahahaha...did not expect that. Learned something new, and now the salesman has a one trick pony up his sleeve. (for when he has other people wondering...it's like Where's Waldo)
