The 911's drivetrain is back in, but nothing is hooked up yet.
Had to modify a bolt and get a friend to make a big washer, but it's all in there and tightened up.

Too hot and sweaty to keep at it.

I'm driving like once every 3 days at the moment, it's really weird.

This should lend more time for tearing it up on the new bike(s), eh?   ;D
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

I sold my TSX. From the using perspective haven't missed it. Could probably sell the Z without missing it. For some reason the wife really likes it - without ever driving it or being a passenger.  :-\

Connected all the rest of the bits on the 911, started filling with oil and ran out, had to go to Crappy tire for another jug.

Now, will she start?
Will she leak oil?

Started up right away, kind of sputtery as air worked it's way through the CIS injection system then not so bad.   Stopped it and restarted it a few times, only off for at most 30 seconds.
Found the clutch to need more adjusting and backed it up onto ramps.
Adjusted clutch, didn't see any obvious oil leaks from below.

Tried to start it again now that the engine is warm it really doesn't want to go.  Fired a bit at first, then nothing.
So, things point to either the fuel accumulator or the fuel pump check valve, will do some troubleshooting when it's cooler.
Damn it's hot.

I did my a first highway ride (160 km) on the Yoko today with the Saturn, I believe they will be a good fit with the car.

Step 2) A/C: I was wrong, not only the system is empty, the compressor is shot. Without a functional one, the technician can't have a running test with refrigerant gaz in to eventually find where is the leak, either on high or low side pression lines... Considering the cost for a rebuild compressor + time + gaz & fittings: 1100 + txs without knowing what is the root cause of the gaz leakage (what is defective), so the total expense may easily surpass the market value of the car. I don't believe I will have it fix...

Meatime, saw a nice first generation 2014 Volt at the dealer  :shuffle: Being priced almost same range as second hand 2015/16 Spark EV  :run:

IIRC, last time I checked there was maybe one in QC advertised +/- $20K above the Volt I'm thinking right now, so .. no  :-\

Took the Sonic in for a noisy something or other (my guess was water pump) - turns out it's the water pump.  $156 aftermarket...2.5 hrs labour at $128/hr  :P.  Could've paid $100 more for a factory GM pump...I'll take my chances... First major repair in it's life.

While I was there went and looked at the Buick Regal GS they just got in.  It's a good looking car.  Why does every car have piddly little short 19" seats?  Oh, then I noticed you can actually pull them out a couple of inches...well that's nice.  Otherwise it's like they're all made for people 5'4" and under.  FFS...one more reason to keep my Fusion.  Real people seats.  Fack perceived leg room - gotta be marketing people's fault, right?

Anyway...we couldn't figure out how the hell you open the hatch.  No release on the key fob, no buttons in the car, no button on the bottom of the hatch lid, no foot kick sensor...WTF?  We're both stumped.  Finally I push on the Buick logo (it felt like you could pull it off, or like it was mounted on rubber) - and Pop! Hahahaha...did not expect that.  Learned something new, and now the salesman has a one trick pony up his sleeve. (for when he has other people wondering...it's like Where's Waldo)

Yup, the seat base in everything is far to short nowadays.  I took home a 2019 or 20 Fusion Hybrid a while back for shits'n'giggles and the seats were a good 2-3" shorter under the knees than my 2011's.  If you wore shorts, your shorts wouldn't even reach the end of the seat cushion.  Even the new Edge, Exploder...all have fecking short seats.  I hate short seats.  Almost as much as I hate iPad dashes.  The Sonic probably has better seats than the GS or the new Fusion (and my wife would argue better than my old Fusion too).  Lengthwise at least.  Maybe even comfort - not so narrow you feel like you're a zit about to be popped.

Well...they replaced the water pump...turns out it's the alternator...which is even more money...so they're removing the water pump...and putting the old one back on with a new alternator.  :-\ :surrend:

Leave the water pump in. Keep original as spare.
