hit the 60,000 km in the lexus.

also, over last coupla days, did 3 stage wax job on the merc...
after the meguires ultimate compound it looks good, was going to end it there
but since i had the polisher out, did meguires ultimate polish, followed by wax.

paint looks a lot cleaner now.  more white.

now i don't have to wax the thing for few months, hopefully.

^ Aqua's photos not showing up for me.

Took the roadster for its first good run today and burned off the last of the old winter gas.  Perfect day for a run down the coast.   8)

Put new brakes on the SC. The entire rotor was coated...boy oh boy that first stop removing the coating felt like there as grease on the pads!

All black rotors sure looked cool before the pads touched them!

Make sure you do a proper break-in procedure on those...Some full coated rotors have a tendency to contaminate pads and create hard spots if not properly broken-in.

If they're coated with Amsoil, they'll be good for 500,000km with zero contamination.  ;)

No...I think it's black oxide.

Had not been motivated to get these out of storage, but finally got around to it yesterday. Happily both awoke without any issues.

The Sonoma is on it's 15th summer with me....Cruising the backroads with the windows down is always a heck of a flashback.

Mrs.Firm's Firebird is only a year behind at 14 years with her.

Took both cars for a good ~45 ride each since the weather was solid. The Firebird gets a lot of looks from younger people, who likely don't even know what it is; radical 90's styling and shiny red paint will do that I guess.

Impressive. Briefly over the week I met a guy who had owned a 49 Meteor for 60 years. He bought it when he was 14! 8)

I think my record is something 7 years on a Nissan Quest minivan.  ;D

Love stories like that. My dad has had his '58 MGA since he was 14 as well. Him and my Grandfather restored it together, painted it in the garage, etc. This is a relatively current photo (maybe 2-3 years ago); still that original restoration/paint/etc.

Beautiful stable there Firm, will be asking you one day about F-Body Camaros...
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

FINALLY out of hibernation!  Didn't do much, cover came off, unplugged battery tender, fired up, roof off, and then took the long way on awesome roads to Guelph and back.  I tried to do the practical thing and just leave insurance on one vehicle, but with this weather and the roads cleaned, I couldn't take it anymore.  I'd forgotten how addictive shifting over 5000 rpm is!

Boss!  If I'm not mistaken, this is the most bad-ass car on the forum, currently.
