Sold my other half's A4 while it was still worth something. Was a nice car while we had it, but she'd had it four years to the day and it was time for a change. Oil consumption is rampant on those 2.0 engines, and the lack of a rear-view camera, Apple CarPlay, etc. was getting old.

We bought a 2020 Genesis G70 Elite; Uyuni White on the Caramel Brown real leather. She's always wanted a white car with a brown interior. Frankly, I'm lucky to have a partner that supports my habit of buying old crap... she deserves a white car if she wants a white car.

Debated hard between the 2.0T and 3.3TT, but figured we'll go with the 2.0T for now. The Elite has the 8-inch touchscreen, 15-speaker Lexicon audio, real leather, heated and cooled seats, etc. The Genesis Connected Services also means it has remote start, et al through the app for five years.

Car's technically a "demo", but has 31km on it (31, not 31,000). Arrives tomorrow from Genesis Yorkdale. I'll snap a picture or two

Also, the G70 was the DoubleClutch.ca Car of the Year when it launched...  ;D ;D ;D

Congrats!!!

That wagon is cool and all....but that house across the street with the round arches everywhere, flat roof triple garage and mid 90's Taurus wagon, with matching round architecture is an awesome throw back. That guy knows what's up.  ;D

But in reality it still drives...and the BMW actually just sits there like an ornament, no?

Much prettier ornament too.

And fack me...everyone in ON must be loaded to the fecking gills...new G70 after 4 yrs "because the car was getting "old"", triple car garages with brick everywhere...the brick alone is worth more than my property I'd bet...BMW's up the wazoo... :P  If I could I'd lease a wagon like that for 4 yrs...

Two triple car garages yet three cars parked in the driveways. Terrible.

When we go for walks around here it's scary what you see when people's garages are open.

Maaaaybe it's not the piles of junk it looks like, but....

I've scraped way too many windshields to park outside when I have a perfectly good garage just sitting there

You obviously need more vehicles ;D
Could be three more cars parked in the garage, it all depends on how many cars and bikes you have.  Right Firm?

This....triple garages and BMWs are not difficult to acquire as long as someone else (bank usually...though not always) is footing the bill. The only measure that matters is the one you can't see, and that's what's in the bank, and in my experience that's often inversely related to what you can see. My guess....Taurus guy's net worth greatly exceeds that of his neighbor with the BMW.

Stereotyping here; but Taurus guy bought that house when it was reasonably priced in the 80's or 90's, he diligently paid it off, treated himself to a new Taurus in 1996, good deal through his BIL who worked at Ford, paid that off, uses it lightly, and keeps up on maintenance. No need to replace what's not broken. The inside of that house is probably a time-warp to the mid-90's as well....again, no need to replace what's not broken. This mindset means he actually owns the house, which is now quite valuable, carries no debt and sleeps easy at night knowing that he's got cash behind him regardless of how/when the world goes to :censor:. --> IMO this way of living requires a lot more character than running to the bank to try and keep up with the Jones, your car doesn't have BT, or your kitchen isn't as fancy as the ones on TV.

Looks like Caulder Drive or Cavendish Crt. in Oakville. ;) - Nice area. These places typically went for $2M in early 2017. Taxes around $10K/Year.

Had the Z3M serviced and inspected today, and it passed with flying colours.   ;D  Service guy said car is in excellent shape.  Inspections are good for two years here now starting this year as well.

Took the GS-350 in to pick it up and my wife drove it home.  She's been driving the Frontier almost exclusively for doing errands while I'm at work so i've been toiling with the idea of selling the Lexus and the Z3M, and replace them with a single vehicle.  I asked her if she still likes the Lexus and she said yes indeed.  She doesn't like the Frontier on the highway.  Also, on the way home I realized how much i like driving the Z3M, so i guess it'll be status quo, for the foreseeable future anyway...lol
