Got the Alfa fixed...mostly  ;)

Oil change, coolant flush, tire rotation, exhaust leak fixed, exhaust back box straightened, oil pressure checked and sensor replaced.

Only problem...they found an oil leak, a weep from...the rear main seal. Frack. That is gonna be fun, and expensive if I need a clutch...
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

Put some new wiper blades on the Escalade because the rubber had finally tore off one of the old ones. Also put battery chargers on both the Caddy's to give them a good charge - lots of sitting and short runs thanks to the pandemic. Both batteries were around 70%.

Working on some MGB parts as well, some shifter pieces and a fuel pump, to install in the Chartreuse MGB next weekend.

Threw the summer tires on the Jeep and a new set of rear shocks. Seems that all my high speed gravel road driving was a little much for the Bilsteins as one of them was completely blown and one was leaking.
Lighten up Francis.....

Is Bilstein quality not where it was?

Apparently not, these were 3-4 years old with about 40k kms on them. Its not like I overload the jeep or anything either.

I think thats the case, I had them on my old 93 1/2 ton and I overloaded the crap out of that on the regular and ran it down the same roads with no problems. Found it weird that they would pop on a lighter vehicle so soon.

Brought the truck to the dealer...not even 2 yrs and right around 20,000 km and the timing chain is starting to make noise again. C'mon Ford! Do better! Do best!!

Hopefully they can replicate it, there's a 2 yr warranty on it...at least this time I'm within.

Detailed Francesca in the same manner as Kira. Wash, clay, wax, seal, ceramic spray. Came out great the paint is beyond smooth. Took it out for a blast after to give her some exercise, now I have to clean the wheels again...

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Changed the oil on the truck and the Outback, Mobil 1 5w30 high mileage in both.

The pickup is a PITA, the filter is in front of the engine laying down and without taking off the whole undertray, which I might do next time, there is only a small access hole and no way not to spill oil all over the undertray and have it drip for days.

I will take pics and get details. It is all original, runs well, and is for sale for not much money.

Many Bilsteins can typically be sent back for a rebuild...can these?

My Tundra still on the originals at 200k.  I'm sure they've deteriorated, but not to the point that the truck feels unstable or floaty.  Still rides good.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Bilsteins in my 911 and my Miata, original AFAIK.   I really should go stiffer in the 911,  but they feel fine.    I find the Miata "skitters" on small bumps on turns sometimes, didn't notice so much until I put new grippier tires on it, could probably fresh dampers as there's 199k on it.
