Yes get a large floor jack. I usually jack two wheels up at a time which really cuts down the time. On the Ridgeline it has center jack points front and rear which allow both fronts or both rears to come up. Very handy if placing jack stands. On the Land Rover they have center points marked on the frame so I can jack the entire side in the air.

Our old CRV has center points marked front and rear as well. Thoughtful touch

I was gonna do the wheel and tire changeover on the Clubman over the weekend but then I ended up getting my finger bit while breaking up a dog fight. Had to get a few stitches to I'm a bit too handicapped to do that kind of manual labor right now.  :-\

Who was fighting???

Jack got into it with my inlaw's dog when we were dropping something off to them. Both dogs are fine.

That's the first thing that came to mind when I saw that. Crazy.

Me too! Always noticed those plastic covers, but never knew what they were for.

Not sure, but don’t think I’ve seen them on the newer cars. ??? I’m picturing E36 and maybe E46 in my mind. Or maybe they just got better with hiding them on the newer ones.

I have no idea if newer one have it, but old 911s have jacking holes too.   The original Bilstein jack fit into it and worked great.

Just went outside and checked. Seems these are it. Under the car and on all four corners.

Is it just me, or does the term "jacking holes" sound a bit, oh, I don't know... risqué?   :shuffle:  :rofl2:

May I suggest "lifting ports"?   ;D

This should work then.

Gave the Enclave it's first waxing.  Prior to waxing I treated it with Autoglym Magma and I was shocked to see how much iron oxide was on the paint.

Wax on, wax off...very therapeutic.  Happy that our DD's are finally cleaned up after a messy winter. :)

Just a question. Did you use the Magma on the Malibu as well ? If not why ? That crap on your white paint in theory should be on your red car  as well.

I wonder what others think of this especially the diehard detailers. It comes up quite often how white cars are so difficult to keep clean. When in reality the non white vehicles are are actually dirtier.

I did not use the Magma on the Malibu because:
 - It's red so it's hard to notice the iron oxide
 - I used a clay bar on the Malibu since we've had it almost 4 years now, so I thought it was due.  Don't know for sure but I figure the clay bar would remove the iron oxide.

White hides dust really well. Dirt and mud will show more though which isn't much of a problem for city folk.

Good for you. That stuff would still be embedded in your red paint. The clay bar would probably do a similar job though. Your white vehicle is probably decontaminated better as it is easier to see the contaminates in the paint.

Got the Alfa fixed...mostly  ;)

Oil change, coolant flush, tire rotation, exhaust leak fixed, exhaust back box straightened, oil pressure checked and sensor replaced.

Only problem...they found an oil leak, a weep from...the rear main seal. Frack. That is gonna be fun, and expensive if I need a clutch...
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.
