not today, but over the weekend,  washed lexus.  i've done few automatic washes over the 6 month long winter, but it has been hard on the car for sure.

got my pressure washer out, car wash mix in a bucket(waterless wash and normal car wash added little bit), rinsed out the whole thing, washed, rinsed again.
took out the floor mats, pressure washed them, vacuumed the whole car, wiped down.

took 3 hours...  didn't even put on a layer of wax or anything.    >:(
looked freakin' great though.
except on the roof, there 2 cm long blob of some kind, looks like tree resin, that i can't get off... i'll have to use clay later....
also noticed there's a LOT of red rust spots on the front doors, so i'll have to clay them later too...   :-\ :'(

then switched to summer tires, and washed winter rims..

took forever.

went for many little drives in the SLK top down though.   wind in my hair feels pretty good.

Driving thrills makes my wallet lighter.. and therefore makes me faster because i'm shedding weight... :D

Took the Alfa for a drive. Turns out I have an exhaust leak, possibly at the manifold. My very expensive German long tube headers might be leaking. Guess some exhaust work is in my near future, might even put on the Japanese exhaust I still have, as it is kind of like OEM+, just have to repair it first. Ugh.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Spent better part of the day outdoors enjoying the warm weather and fresh air.

On the Malibu:
 - washed engine bay
 - washed vehicle
 - clay barred
 - waxed

Well, full insurance is back on the truck.  Mostly precipitated by the work we're going to do next weekend.  I was considering a temporary permit just for the weekend, but that is really only just very basic insurance, and honestly, there is a much greater chance of getting into a wreck when pulling 10 000lbs of dirt and trailer down the highway than at any other time.  If that happens I want to make sure I have full coverage and my new truck replacement coverage.  That and camping season is opening up in a few weeks, so yeah, I can drive the truck again.

It only ended up being about 3 weeks that we had layup ins. on it, so in retrospect, it probably wasn't worth it.

Would love to have a pit crew like you do Gurgie. I should bring the Alfa by and take advantage of your captive labour team...I mean, provide them with an excellent learning opportunity!  :rofl2:

Sure buddy, bring it over, they seem eager to learn... for now, lol!!!

Biggest pain in the ass was compressing the rear calipers in as they're the screw type & I don't have the tool. So it was a combo of needle nose pliers & channel locks to compress & turn.

Finally got the summers on the Tundra yesterday. I’m getting about 4 weeks to the tank so no big deal. Pulled the caliper pins on the rear brakes and lubed them while I was in there.

Also, oil change on the MDX today. She’s out of warranty now so I’ll be doing these myself. Easy peasy on this car.

Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Some love for the 323i & Passport today, doing the spring cleaning on both, washing the winter mats & installing summer ones. Weather is kinda shitty though, windy as :censor: & keeps blowing in some sun showers.

Summer shoes installed and gave it a wash.

Got most of the interior back into the 77 MGB on Saturday, and on Sunday I washed both of the Caddy's. Also put about 100km of top down driving on the XKR, plus I cleaned and lubed the convertible top mechanism and pulled 'fuse 19' (keeps the active exhaust in 'full loud' mode all the time)
