Drove the Z today for the first time in 2020 with a small break in the weather before it snows again.  ::)

You hear every bit of gravel sitting almost on the rear axle.

I forgot it had a cassette player.  :)

On the 401 today and took a huge stone off the windscreen. So big that we both ducked when it came at us. Shocked it didn't break the windscreen.

Since it hadn't moved in over 2 weeks, took the wife's car for a spin on the highway this morning.  On the way home, went to the local wand wash and discovered that to maintain social/physical distancing, every second wash bay is blocked off even though the bays are a good 15ft wide and separated by curtains.  ???

Went to my local wand wash.  It was closed due to Covid 19. MB mandated that all non-essential businesses close 1 - 14 April.   :(
We'll see if this mandate gets extended.

I was at Blondie's on De Vries on Saturday, and it was still open.

Took the Passport for a spin in the sudden snow storm we had over to Tortoise's place to drop off his shipment of Hammond River beers  ;D

I gave the Genesis the Autoglym Magma treatment to get out those brown spots of embedded oxidized brake dust. Then a quick coat of Turtle Was Ice and that Casablanca White is gleaming like new.

Lexol for the interior today if I can summon the energy.

Swapped the summer wheels onto the Land Rover, snow be damned. Cleaned and greased the caliper pins (Sil glyde) while I was at it. Noticed a broken sway bar link on the rear so ordered up some old school Moogs (zerk fittings!) from Rock Auto. That will be another project.

Weird.  Although I'd enjoy the drive, it's clear across the other side of town from me and by the time I got back home, the car would be dirty again.  According to google maps, it's a 38km, 28 min drive around the north Perimeter, each way.  :drive:

Working on the Great Beater Challenge Valiant today.
Discovered a while back that the reason for the bent pushrod was a stuck valve.
Anyone want to guess which one?

I have some holes in the bumper I can't think of a good way to fill. Maybe a custom novelty plate?

Here is an old photo with the holes. Not sure which looks better.

Masking off so I can paint the centers of these wheels. Used some scrap plastic packaging from furniture the wife bought. Just need temperatures above freezing to lay down the paint.

Just get some push in trim screws...they're usually black. Paint with touch up. Done.

They look somewhat like this.

That is a nice idea. I'll see if they make them as big as I need.  :)

When done properly, they look almost like parking sensors.

I certainly don't mind it. Especially with an interesting plate.

But on some cars with an opening below, it bugs me. And on some cars it almost looks like a buck tooth!

That's fine for you.  I've lived in a province that has had  no front plate for such  a long time I can't bear anything hanging off of the front bumper.

Think of  a 20 Corvette with  a front plate on it. Ruins the look in my opinion.
