Needed some air, and some time away from the work computer, so I polished up the headlights in the DTS. Would like to give the whole car a good spring cleaning and polish before the toys come out - maybe if the weather cooperates one day over the next couple weekends.

This, because I had it lying around. The ones that use the drill attachment are much better, and I have one somewhere, but couldn't find it...

I bought a kit for the Civic and was going to do it when the weather turned nice, but the mechanic did it as a bonus when he did the bearings and control arm.

what issues were you having with the jag? and a 5 figure profit? how?! I don't even know if I can pull that off and I bought it wholesale!

Well, the air suspension was intermittently being wonky... had an occasional check engine light, and the navigation system would only sometimes realize there's a CD in the changer.

Yeah, probably put ~600km on it over exactly 30 days owned.

That Aston is niiice. Jag schmag.

LR4 gets a new battery (it eats them with e heater windshield, rear defrost, 4 heated seats and a heated steering wheel going non stop in the winter). I killed the old one by leaving the headlights on for 6 hours while I was skiing. Amazing that it still had enough juice to start the car at -10. The big reserve capacity of the H8 came in handy.  A nice new H8 AGM Energizer from Costco. $280 tax in delivered to my door. 5 year replacement warranty and another couple years at 50%. Can't lose.

Been trying to break-up the work from home hours with a few little tasks. Today I went out and remounted the front plate on the XKR properly using a proper plate mount, and replaced the cracked cover. The boy decided to 'help' as well.

It's all fun and games until he sticks that driver through the rad.  ;D

I can't believe Ontario is still using front plates. So nasty and big brother.

Yep, I thought about the rad thing...But there's like a foot and a half of air space behind the upper grille before hitting anything.

I hate the plates too...when this car was imported from Florida someone drilled holes in the bumper for the plate. If the holes weren't already there I'd risk it and not run it, or get one of those hidden holders that slide under the bumper when you're not driving. Since the holes are already there, might as well run the plate and not worry about it.

Little guy seems to be developing a nice grip.  ;D

First mod to the Frontier was to remove that damn front plate.  Surprised how many people around here still leave the brackets on though and  replace the plate with something just as ugly....lol
