I must have missed something. What happened to it?

yeah, as seafoam said, it needs some resto work. but if it's its more involved than a certain dollar figure... just not worth doing, and not safe to drive otherwise.
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

Ordered up some rear pads pads and rotors for the LR4 from Rock Auto. Being the numbnut I am also ordered a front brake sensor instead of the rear.  Tried to look for a Canadian vendor but most pale in comparison. I even tried autopartsway, prices great  but most of their choices were "out of stock" WTF?  :rofl2:

Kids getting rides to the prom. The auto business is in serious trouble. She is supposed to be driven to the prom by some greaseball in a Camaro lol.

It was quite a car show! Each kid / group got their moment, hotel doorman opening car doors, helping the young ladies out, with pro videographer and photographer clicking away like at a red carpet event.

One car at a time, many Teslas, tons of new Porsches, one classic 911 SC, a Pagoda Benz with three guys seated on the trunk, parade style, a RAM with a group seated in the bed, Westfalias, Maserati, 'Slade limos, Benzes and Bimmers. Only ONE musclecar, us. Mt fave: a late '50s Dodge.

My daughter went to a very middle-classy high school in the city instead of out in our burb, so the kids had old Camrys or no car.  Her old Scoob was actually considered very cool.  Perfect.

I clipped a deer with my CR-V Saturday night.  It ran down the laneway of an excavation company and across the road.  I saw it at the last second & braked.  I then pulled over to inspect the damage, expecting my front bumper & headlight(s) to be smashed.   I also expect to see an injured deer.  To my surprise the front end was intact......a small crack in the front bumper.  I looked up when inspecting the front of the vehicle to see the deer was standing on the shoulder of the road looking at me before it ran away.  Fun times.

Yeah...what kind of school does your kid go to?  Those are not average cars.

My kid got dropped off and picked up from Grad prom last night in a Super White Tundra CrewMax, with the Exhaust set to Standard, because it can't be changed.

On another note, what kind of school has a prom on a friggen Monday Night?  I'm destroyed this morning because I was the official designated driver for my kid (Safegrad rules) so I had to stay up until ready to be picked up.

A lot of the highschools seem to have events at the legislature. I walk through the grounds on the way to/from work. Lots of limos, some interesting, mostly classic cars, and plenty of regular cars parked there.

Lots of pretty girls in extravagant dresses, awkward boys in mostly ill-fitting suits, looking as proud, happy and optimistic at this momentous occasion as could be. I just hate each and every one of them.  ;D

You have a kid old enough to graduate?  You start right after high school yourself?  :o Or step-kid?

Safe grad aint what it used to be.  I drove myself and my date to our after-party, the local police chief was there to make sure anyone leaving blew into a breathalyzer, and if you were good to go, you could leave.  We were one of the last classes from our town to use the river boat in Wpg for grad...one of the last classes to be able to go to Wpg for grad if not the last.  A year or two later - maybe two in a row, they trashed the boat...and then I'm pretty sure the next year trashed the hotel they used.  Stupid fackers.  After that, this town was banned from any grad activities inside city limits.  Hell that might even be when safe grad started lol.

It would have to be a dead ostrich...

I volunteered for a few hours last night as a BlackJack dealer at the Grad party casino, and yes, I hated each and everyone of those young kids with bright lights in their eyes.
