Replaced the leaky rear brake lines on our Outback.
The lines run to the back inside the car and go out under the rear seat, they rust out shorty after exiting. So cut them off inside the car, flare them (no easy feat, OE lines are very hard) Put in a union and run them out and to the calipers. Would have been a real PITA to do, but I have a friend with a hoist.
BTW, I was going to buy OE lines at the dealer when one of the mechanics told me I'd have to drop the tank and subframe to run it that way. Saved me a the headache of returning them when I looked under. Just bought lines at Crappy tire, of course had to combine them with unions as they only had some lengths in stock.
