^nice score for your brother

Yeah, real nice for him  :rofl2:

I would just like to point out it was my idea to get a travel trailer first...he's the one copying me, even though I haven't actually bought one yet.    ;D

FIL to the rescue again, with an owned-since-new F150

Sounds like somebody chose wisely when getting married.

Yeah, the closest I've ever come to camping like that is when we were at Tunnel Mountain Village in Banff.  But we were hardly ever at our campsite.  We didn't even really cook or eat at the camper, using it only for sleeping.

I'm much more a fan of more enclosed, private sites.

Don't worry.  You will get to see the pros and cons of his trailer.  What to avoid when your ready.

I was debating Nokian vs Michelin for new all season tires on the Outback, ended up ordering the Nokian today.

Also decided to run down my crappy Goodyear winter tires on the Pilot this summer, and then buy something better for next winter.  Might break my Michelin X-Ice habit and get a set of Hakkapelliitas.

Just renewed my Sonoma plate sticker online...went right through, no issues. No E-test necessary. Glad it's done....but the inconsistency across the messages Service Ontario was communicating and what Drive Clean was saying leading up to this April 1st date made the whole thing just a joke.

Truck was in storage and needed an E-Test for it's March renewal, normally I'd just wait till it came out of storage in April and get it tested then. However, Service Ontario said I needed to do it right away since an Etest was mandatory, regardless of when I renew due to my March birthday, and since the facilities wouldn't be testing come April I'd better do it in March....I didn't want to risk a bigger hassle, so I actually took the truck out and down to the closest CT store for an E-test...only to get some error on their machine that prevented them from testing it. So I gave up and left it till now.

Whatever, it's done now, and the stupid Drive Clean program is done too....Thanks Doug! :)

Same situation here. My S2000 was in storage until now (March plate expiry), and since I transferred its plate to the Vantage, I couldn't actually plate it until I got an e-test. Waited until the Drive Clean program was gone, walked into a Service Ontario, plated it and walked out...

luckily I just have a couple friends with campers.. so I just make sure to invite them for times where they are handy! looks like some nice glamping to be done though for sure.

as for my vehicle... I'm hardly on here, so I hadn't even posted, but I caved and got a JL just over a month ago. today I just got the Sirius guardian thing set up. on my jeep, it's not super helpful, but kinda cool.

I used the flip down/afterthought cupholder in the 308 for the first time since last August.

Afterwards, i drove some nice mountain roads in the Vosges. I like the flow of chassis and suspension; it's decidedly un-German, and that's a good thing.

I bought some new shoes for the little blue car.  They are from a 10th Anniversary model as well and are pretty close to perfect.
Paid $600 and drove and hour to get them, not cheap, but it's not like they are easy to come by.

The seller's Miata was a bit faster than mine.  302 Ford punched out to 347 and pushing over 400hp.  Says he never pushes it or drives in the rain.  (sorry for the bad photo)

Yep, that Camaro is pretty damn good looking  O0

Good (but busy) weekend here. Made some repairs on the garage at my grandmothers, which required moving some cars around. While I was there I re-installed the rear brake adjuster (I took it off to unseize it) on the Yellow MGB and removed the trunk lid completely from the Orange one - it has the one spot of bodywork required on that car, so I took it home where I can do the work without being rushed.

Next I changed the oil in the Escalade. I usually never run synthetic in older vehicles because the smaller particles due tend to 'find' leaks that the dino fluid doesn't. However, I spotted some Penzoil High Mileage Full Synthetic on sale at CT that claims to 'help prevent leaks' in older vehicles, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Hope I don't find any leaks  :P
I do like the idea of synthetic in that vehicle now since it's usage is mostly short runs in-town, or a 20 minute back-road run Mrs.Firm does twice weekly to Oakville for 'babytime' at the community center.....The low kms mean I go longer (time wise) before changes now too, and I'd feel better about that with synthetic in it. Used a Mobil 1 filter because I have a case of them from work :)

Then I got Mrs.Firm's Firebird outta the garage...Started right up and felt great on a 30-minute drive to get it up to temperature. I needs a wash (I left it uncovered) and an oil change soon. Still an enjoyable car to drive.

Nah, it's back inside. I had 'stored' it for the winter....although I was lazy in the fall so all I really did was park it in the garage and toss a battery maintainer on it a couple times over the winter. I just took it out for it's first drive of the season, make sure it was all good.

Mrs.Firm isn't likely to use it much this year with the baby still in a rear-facing unit, so I'll probably pick some days to commute in it to keep it from just sitting.
