I meant more time to apply, rather than the amount of wax used.

^^It's a direct correlation...

Well your a better man than me, if you can wash the truck, wax the truck, detail the inside, and change over the tires in one spring day.  Using helper is cheating!  ;D

LOL.  My 6 year old is more of a hindrance than a help.  I suppose now is the time to start teaching her the basics, then when she's a teenager, I can just pay her to detail my vehicles, like my Dad did for me (although he never paid me, I always just did it because I liked cruising around with him in a good looking truck).

I was hoping to get the T/A out this coming weekend....not worried about a little bit of winter debris on the road really, but looking at the current forecast the weekend might be a washout, so that would kill the idea.

Already had the Sonoma out a couple weeks ago to deal with E-Testing non-sense.

Shopping for new all-season tires for the Subaru today.  Was focused on Michelin Premier LTX, but they are pricey.  Started looking at Nokian Entyre 2.0 based on advice from my local shop.  Would save about $400. Can't really put a price on safety, so I'm willing to ante up for the Michelin, but if the Nokian are just as good.....  Either should be vastly better than the OEM Bridgestone Duellers.

Maybe I should start a thread in the tire forum.

Just an FYI, a lot of complaints about the treadwear on the Premier LTX.

waiting for the same - slightly warmer temps and a real good rain before the Alfa comes out
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

And he's not wrong. I wouldn't take something mint out this time of year...The amount of salt dust and sand blowing around on the highways is pretty awful right now. In a rough around the edges driver like the T/A I don't care, but I wouldn't take something really nice out....SLK for example, as clean as it is, won't see the road until the mess is totally gone.

Do you take road samples to ensure every road you drive is totally free of sand and stuff?    :rofl2:

There is so much sand and salt residue on the roads in my hood that one needs to hold their breath if a vehicle drives by.   It will take a month of April average rain to clean them off.

douche  :P
I drive to work everyday...If I see sand and crap blowing around, then I'll keep the nice cars off the road. I am not one of those crazies that think a bit of dirt is going to ruin a car....but if I have a spotlessly clean engine bay (as the SLK does), I don't want it all full of dust and sand because it take hours to clean....hours that I don't have.

It will take a month of April average rain to clean them off.

So if it rains less than average, what do you do?  Park the car until the correct amount of rainfall happens?   ;D

Updated the sat nav map for France with the latest data.

Yes, I am impatient waiting for it to load (the country took about 7mn for 520 Mb) but it is nice being able to DIY on Peugeots.
