Gave her a good wash after a hard run on some backroads. Cant wait for Sandra to meet her sister Francesca in a few weeks...

...oh darn it will be such a dilemma to chose which one to drive on a Sunday afternoon  ;)
Looks MUCH better than the last time I saw it, lol!

I really like the complete lack of chrome. Thats what usually ruins these cars, all the cheap looking chrome add ons.

I'm not generally a fan of chrome but I think it works well on the Mini.

Also there's isn't a complete lack of chrome on his car, it still has the chrome beltline.  :)

that will be going away this spring - the previous owner did a good job with the rest and some PlastiDip
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Good call. Works well on a 50s car, horrid on new cars.

Noticed a strong smell of brakes when we parked the car, and a rear hub was hot.

It's a 2002 with 300,000 km, so assumed the caliper had seized on its pins. Had a look at it last night.

Of course the wheel turned freely then. Turned out pins were in perfect greasy shape and the caliper slid back and forth easily. Everything was in surprisingly good shape, Honda built this out of good metal

Pushed the piston back in with a clamp and put it back together, no heating on a quick trip around the block

Will keep an eye on it but as we are thinking of replacing the car this summer, not super keen on replacing calipers and hoses unless we have to

Changed the spark plugs. On the Peugeot 308 with the THP engine, due at 2 years. Old ones don't look too terrible. The engine uses NGK plugs, but I bought them from the dealer last week in Toulouse anyway to be sure. Pricey and surprisingly for France, the quote did not include the 20% TVA so it was 95 €........

Loved the simplicity of the excercise though. The engine has no plastic engine cover, so a simple job taking <30mn.

It could be the parking brake assembly, which is a little drum brake contained within the hat of the rear rotor.

Yesterday it was reasonably warm out for a change, so I cleaned up the two Caddies. DTS just got a wash, butthe Escalade got a good wax and leather treatment as well.

Trying to get these sort of spring jobs outta the way so I can work on the fun cars when real spring breaks...

^^^  I can't wait until it gets consistently warm (and dry) here.  I've been taking the truck through the touchless wash a couple times a week, but it doesn't take long for it to get dirty again, what with all the water on the roads from still-melting snow.

I'd like to give the truck its first proper wash, including a full wax and interior clean.  Oh, and swap over to the all season tires and factory rims, too.

I think a full, uninterrupted day.

I should also start shopping for bedliner product.  I think I'm leaning towards roll-on bedliner.

My '97 Dodge Ram wasn't even as big as the Tundra.  But that Ram did have a painted fiberglass tonneau cover for its 6.5' bed, so it probably used about as much wax.  I think I would go through almost 1/4 tin of Mothers per coat of wax.

I meant more time to apply, rather than the amount of wax used.

^^It's a direct correlation...
