Friday I removed jacked up the trailer, removed the wheels.  Cleaned the spindles.  Saturday took the hub assembly to Princess Auto to get the matching kit.  Comes with everything I need, and :censor: I don't need.  Comes with two bearings, I only need one.  Started to work on it this morning.  After 1 hour, I am too frustrated.  I am not confident I am doing it right, and when I put the hub back in, whether it is seated correctly.  Just stuff like that.  Most Youtube videos show for a two bearing application.

Can't be bothered with it anymore.  Since I use it a lot, want to make sure its done right.  Too dangerous, and costly, if I screw it up.  So just going to look for a local guy on Kijiji to come to my house and do it.
Yep...can be a PITA.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

I would pay twice as much,  if the hub had the bearing/sleeve/washer already seated inside.  And all I had to do was put mount the hub onto the spindle, put the nut and cotter pin on.

Round trip to Luxembourg and back on a Sat-Sunday. Total distance driven : 672km.

Due to the weather and potential for residual snow/ice thru the mountains, I opted to return via Metz and Sarrebruck, same time but adding 35km (and a small toll). Germany has no direct highway link to Trèves.....so the *normal* route involves two lane roads that wind up and down the low mountain range.

I need to move south & west  :(

Guess it's going to take awhile for the hybrid to payoff!  ;D

Most Youtube videos show for a two bearing application.

That's because you need to replace both the outer and inner bearing together.  If one has failed the other is about to.

Indeed if you can't figure it out then you definitely should have a licensed person do it because if it fails and causes a big issue the cops can tell if it was recently messed with and the charges would start flying and the insurance coverage would be void.

Gave the Escalade a good bath, then took it for a good drive out to a friend's place in Port Perry. Ran great, and kept the baby and wife asleep for most of the trip.

Unseasonably warm weather so I gave the Acura a bath.

Swapped to a replacement fuel pump on the Innocenti. It worked only slightly better than the old one.

The roads were a MESS over the weekend (temperature hovering at/above zero), and lots of weekend driving meant the truck had a layer of dirt an inch thick.

It's cold again now (at least for today) so I gave her a quick spray at the wand wash.  I didn't go all out because it will warm up again, and some of the nastier stuff didn't come off (I'm refusing to use that stupid foam brush on my paint) but at least she's not as bad as she was.

Also, white has now grown on me so much that I think I would pick it as a first choice in colour were I to buy this truck again.  Everytime I look at this truck, I can't help but think how good looking of a truck it is.

What a waste of time, gave me back my keys after waiting an hour and said it didn't need an airbag after all.  Apparently nobody had stuck their head under the dash to see what kind of propellant mine had, they just ordered parts and wasted everyone's time.

Update Was catching up with a friend of mine, hadn't seen him in awhile since he lives off the beaten path.  And he drives a lot for work.  He came to see me today as his off for a bit.  We were catching up, and the utility trailer story came up.  Next thing I know, we are in the garage.   Fixed my utility trailer for me.  Offered him some money.  Instead we did some bartering.  My son has outgrown his car seat, his needs an extra one for his daughter.  He needed some wax for his 1966 Impala, I had some good stuff (forget the name, but it's been mentioned before, that German stuff).  Also had an extra trailer sway hitch that he said he could use.

Made 2 dump runs today.  Everything seems good.

gave it a wash at work - free detailing supplies is a nice perk

I promise a show and shine is coming guys...
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.
