So, a certain forum member gave me an Extang Freedom Tri-Fold soft tonneau cover.  All I had to do was pay $100 to ship it from Ontario to Winnipeg.

That's awesome!   :fiver:

Wonder how much, if any, it will affect fuel economy?

Very nice.  Got to have a cover if using as a family DD.  The amount of ice and snow that gets in there otherwise really sucks.

Decided to give Maxbrakes a try, as we are in the beginning stages of gathering parts for a restoration of IQs IS300.

Ordered Monday...arrived today.

So their shipping, at least, is very good!

Restoration of the IS300?

What needs replacing?

Mechanical going over, mostly.  Has 370K on it.

Some rust spots.

Likely paint the hood and front bumper from 16 years of driving/rock chips.

Rust . Are they holes or just surface?

A hole in lower door skin.

Have new door.  :)

Have new front fender from the broken ball joint mishap.

So 2 panels are being replaced.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

This thing is so easy to install.  It literally takes minutes and no tools.  I did have to remove the cargo rail system on my truck for it to fit, which took about 10 minutes and a torx socket.  Extang has attachments to install this tonneau cover with the rail system installed, but this one didn't come with them.  I may contact them and ask if I can buy just the hardware.

Anyway, I think it looks good, and I really couldn't beat the price!!

I'm guessing that you partially used my review  in deciding to buy this.

Since you've not driven it, do you at least feel that this is as high quality as I did? And just shifting it I the garage...do you like what you feel?

Yes I did use your review as well as others on miata.net. I didn't want just a ball shaped knob. I really don't like the look of those and that seems to be the most popular shape. The quality is amazing, but it is not cheap. I was able to take advantage of free shipping to Sweetgrass Montana. We have a company here in Edmonton picks up there twice a week. Their shipping cost and brokerage fees are a fraction of what UPS,Fedex etc rape us for.

got it prepped for safety tomorrow

re-adjusted xenon lights so they dont point at the sky  :rofl2:
Tried to install rear wiper motor myself, found I don't have the proper screws (previous owner took out the motor and did a wiper delete...ugh  ::)) so screw it my mech can tackle that.
Topped up oil. Bought at CT because it was HALF OFF. Nice.
Lubed up all hinges and hood release.
Put on different front wiper blades.
Put in some injector cleaner and topped up with Ultra94.
Gave the engine bay a quick wipe down as I was checking the air filter.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Friday I removed jacked up the trailer, removed the wheels.  Cleaned the spindles.  Saturday took the hub assembly to Princess Auto to get the matching kit.  Comes with everything I need, and :censor: I don't need.  Comes with two bearings, I only need one.  Started to work on it this morning.  After 1 hour, I am too frustrated.  I am not confident I am doing it right, and when I put the hub back in, whether it is seated correctly.  Just stuff like that.  Most Youtube videos show for a two bearing application.

Can't be bothered with it anymore.  Since I use it a lot, want to make sure its done right.  Too dangerous, and costly, if I screw it up.  So just going to look for a local guy on Kijiji to come to my house and do it.
