1. I freaking love my car.  I want to keep it as long as possible.

2. Getting about $575 back in my pocket each month will be easy to get used to.
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

Can't remember ever not having a car payment.  We have always had one car payment.  Saving grace is there usually pretty low.  Because we have traded in a vehicle, or put a decent down payment down.  Like right now, I am paying $250 tax in for the GC a month.  When thats done, most likely get a mid size sedan for the wife.  Still a year away.  Could be worse.  Sister in law,  2017 Chevrolet Silverado LT, 2018 Mazda 3 GT, all car payments.  Not sure the terms.

He should still put $150 a month a side for upkeep , and the rest he can spend on  shoes

The roof box when on the car today. It'll be on there until mid April if the season goes well.

My roof box lives in Revelstoke.  On the Forester.  The hatch is broken in the closed position, so the box makes hauling a bunch of skis much easier.  Carrying four people to Roger's Pass with touring gear means she needs the box anyway.

Tire shopping. Kijiji style. Got some winters for the Civic. Then some Vega rims for the Innocenti so I can upgrade to 13". Plus a factory spare for the Innocenti. All nine tires and rims are packed into the TSX. :rofl2:

It's got 12"?  My old 76 Civic had 12" tires/wheels.  Can you even buy them now?

Even worse they are about 12" size but TRX metric wheels and tires. I doubt they could be bought anywhere in the last 20 years.

Nope, he’ll put it towards getting the financial house in order faster.  Still dealing with some of the fallout from 2 years on disability and then not getting paid for 4 months...

Yup - hence the Vega rims. I can actually buy tires - the ones on there are garbage which is fine as I got the rims for free (nice!).

Took advantage of the warm weather yesterday to wash the DTS and gave it a quick single stage wax, just to build some paint protection. Also stripped and re-painted the air cleaner assembly for the '79 MGB.

I considered washing the truck this weekend (at a wand wash), but temps will be hovering around -5 or so all week, which means wet roads, so there is really no point.

A shame, because my new truck is filthy (the conditions haven't been favourable for keeping a clean truck).

Screw it.  I'm changing my wheels/tires today, I want the factory wheels to be clean when I store them, so I just took the truck to a touchless wash.  She's all clean and shiny now.
