Submitted it to BaT.  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I set an insanely high reserve, if a special snowflake wants it, they can have it.

It is just submitted to the BaT team and not up for auction yet, so if any of you want first bids on the Alfa, now is the time to speak...not that I expect any of you to do so!

Why are you considering selling the Alfa?  I thought you loved that car?

They'll probably balk at your reserve and reject it then. They want to sell cars.
How do they know what it is worth? How much is a clean E30 M3 or a 190E worth? This is like a little lesser cousin to those touring car giants, and is much more rare.

Meh, we shall see what they say.

I am considering selling it because I am broke and unemployed and have not found work...AND have a thesis to finish. Also, may be getting divorced soon. Life is not good.

Auh, Bummer, man.  I hope things pick up for you sooner rather than later.

Problem is where the car is located, if it was in the states it would be a much easier sell. BAT would only give a $13,500US reserve on my 951 last summer... when they were all selling well above that, I passed.

Crappy about the divorce part buddy... thought things were a bit better  :-\

Ah well they will hate my car then. Too obscure I am guessing.

And things did get better...for a bit. Now they are a lot worse.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

They'll like it, but will try to talk you down on your reserve price. They got back to me within a few hours, so you should hear something shortly.

Geez, sorry to hear that buddy.

Don't know your situation at all but try and keep things afloat until you get yourself a job and some income. I'm assuming that has a lot to do with the marriage troubles. If things don't improve at that point well them you know what you have to do.

This is great advice. When everything is :censor: we have a tendancy to lose sight of what's most important, and often realize how good it was, or could've been, way too late.

Oh man Chaos, so sorry to hear about the rough patch you’re going through.  Hang in there.  I can say from experience that the crew on here are a supportive bunch, so don’t hesitate to reach out if need be.

Liking it a lot.

Why?

Probably because it's a brand new truck just off the lot, so all the body mounts are still solid, the seat is still nice and firm and not all broken down, suspension and steering components are all tight, etc.  Obviously getting out of a 200 000km truck and getting into a brand new truck will seem like a world of difference, even if the 200 000km truck is the nicer truck.

  :rofl2:  :rofl2:  :rofl2:

Oh man I'm just getting off the floor now...phew!  ;D ;)

You sure you don't do stand up?

drove the bimmer down to okotoks.

hell, i have this thing for 7 years now, and took it commuting today.   commute sucks in this car.

was thinking maybe i should sell it or something.

then driving down 50km to different town, cruising down the highway at (what feels like ;D) 150 , this thing rides better than lexus at speed and still sounds ferocious...

oh and got a thumbs up from a kid walking in town.

maybe i should keep it around after all.

How do you find the performance of the NA V6 vs the your old V8?  Much of a difference?

Changed the oil on Bella's 323i, pretty straight forward & easy to do, 17mm drain bolt & oil filter cartridge on top of the engine. Only pain in the a$$ part is no dipstick to measure the new oil, so you have to wait for the engine diagnostic to do it & then it took me a few mins to figure out how to reset the engine oil interval. The car itself wasn't asking for an oil change yet, but I figured I'd do it now. The interval is 25,000kms, she was at ~17,000kms. Figure I'll just do it once a year, old oil looked pretty tired.

I use this on the Miata, (and my various MBs before) as I can reach the Miata's filter from the top, so no jacking, crawling, etc.  Love it.

No dipstick on the E90, so kinda tough with the extractor. Guess I could try thru the oil filter housing which is on top of the motor?
