Put the winter tires on the Sonic (not today, but Saturday).  A little early, but if the kid's gonna have it in Wpg...might as well be prepared.  Love that I have a working air compressor in the garage (finally) and my old impact wrench still works after sitting in the basement for 20+ yrs.  Takes about 3 minutes to change a tire instead of...longer.

Winter Tires on the van, as well as an Interior/Exterior Wash.  I also put in the weathertechs.

Changed my mom's Disco Sport to winter tires, too.

We've had snow already.  Granted, nothing like what Calgary has had, but it has been unseasonably cold this Autumn.

The kids have had a snow fort on my front lawn for a week now!

Some epic snowballing this fall.

Changed the oil in the Highlander. God damn, over tightened filters are super annoying.  Synthetic and a good filter so I'll run at least 10k km intervals.

I also added 10L of DEF to the golf. It's been about 15k since I added it last. No warning yet but we're going on a road trip this weekend so better to deal with it now.

Had some extra time while working in the shop on a project at work (another truck build) so I did the front brakes on the DTS. They weren't worn out by any means, but there was some pulsing going on and it looked like some irregular wear patterns on the rotors. Working in the shop instead of my driveway, and with all the correct equipment, sure is nice. Got it done in record time, and we are now pulse free :)
Installed Raybestos coated rotors and Raybestos Ultra Premium Hybrid (Ceramic and metallic hybrid) pads. Early impressions are good. I was a Wagner TQ guy for many years, but Raybestos has slowly been winning me over, really impressed with the last couple of sets I've installed from them.

I still like the TQ pads, it's the Wagner rotors that I've been disappointed in recently. Installed their black e-coat rotors on the Escalade, maybe 2 years ago (likely less than that) and the coating has already failed and the vents are starting to rust. Still performing well, so I won't change them, but they should be able to do better.

Cleared a CEL on the Highlander!  2124 O2 sensor. Threw the same code about a year and a half ago, first time it’s come back.  Ran errands today, light stayed off.

Might have to replace that sensor someday. Luckily it’s the one right on the front of the engine.  Bummer is that everyone says to only buy the OE sensor which is about 200 bucks. But if they last 14 years and 350K, then that’s cheap.

Buy a Denso.  They are the OEM and you can get it cheaper than going to Toyota.

Interesting I had a real bad run with Raybestos rotors a few years back. First set had run out of 0.05 and the replacement set was 0.06. I gave up on them. The fancy schmancy advanced technology line too. Chinese rotors, never again.

Can’t believe I’m going ford but it was a business decision.

What does that mean?

That's a good looking truck by the way. I'm curious to hear how it compares to the older GM.

What does that mean?

Bought 6 trucks for some of our site guys. Ford had and amazing deal this month - too good to be true, really.

One of the guys didn't want the new truck because it didn't fit into his garage (!) so I decided to take it. Wasn't planning on doing this. I'm actually really sad to say bye to the Sierra - I love it - but can't say no to a brand new truck.

Gotcha!
