^^Some water getting into the plug #3 threads?

Must be? Only 1 out of the 8 like that and no coolant lines nearby. Plugs are buried under a ton of shields (heat and waterproofing)and the coils provide a tight seal in the plug hole. No idea.  I doubt I will have it at 320 k kms to confirm if it happens again.

This was Saturday, but w/e. I took the rear brakes on the Escalade apart because I was getting a scrapping noise while driving at low speeds, both sides. Pads/Rotors are only about a year old, so I suspected that the clip for the e-brake shoes had broken (common issue) and was allowing the edge of the shoes to contact the inside drum of the rotor.
So I pull it all apart, and the e-brake stuff all looks nice and tidy. Start putting it back together and notice that the stainless steel clips for the pads have odd wear spots where they've been contacting the rotor! Doh! It seems the caliper brackets rusted, rust built up and push the clips out of place. Cleaned up the brackets, re-installed, noise gone.
Lotta work for something extremely minor. I also hate lifting such a big vehicle...

Oil and filter change on Friday.  Defective keyfob cleaned and new battery installed.  We’ll see how long this one lasts.  Need new rear brakes in a month or so - not surprised.  These are the major achilles heal of these cars.

Yes! It's what I used for years until I found something better just recently.

I had a 4 day weekend, but Friday was killed on one of those 'newborn photoshoots' about an hour away.

Saturday I got the Sonoma out for a drive, washed the Escalade and took the front brakes on the T/A apart to apply some anti rattle paste to the pads (which were rattling).

Sunday I was able to spend some time cleaning up the Ram, which hadn't seen a proper wash since September! There were a LOT of bugs baked on from a trip to Ottawa in May, so dealing with that sucked.....But I was able to get Baby Firm out in the garage while mommy went shopping....Not exactly helpful yet, but he seemed content to sit in his bouncer thing and get familiar with the garage  ;D

Today I did a bit of work on the 84 Camaro at my grandmother's place.....tightened the loose valve covers and made some repairs to the storage tent that I keep it in.

Few of the car related pics from the weekend:

Baby Firm's first garage time; "helping" daddy wash the truck.

The cleaned Ram

Visiting my parents for dinner one night and thought this was cool.....The black one is my brothers:

Lastly, a peak at the MGTC my dad is just finishing up the restoration on....This thing is insane, literally every nut, bolt, washer, etc is polished. I will get better photos to share when it's all done.

A friend of mine helped me get the stupid rear drums off the Pontiac. He brought over his '66 Dodge panel van.

Firm, your and your family’s collection of cars astounds me.  Do you own that Ram or is it a work vehicle?

BG Synchro Shift II. Decided to try it after reading this. Harder to find than RP for sure but since it's not a service I do all the time, I'd use it again. Swapped out the RP in IQs car...and it was a bit slicker. BTW..their fuel treatment, BG44K, is also the best I've ever used..which, along with the article, made me want to try their Synchro Shift II.

Still, it wouldn't dissuade me from continuing to use or recommend RP.  It's great stuff and never a complaint over the years.

:) The Ram is a company vehicle; I use it for testing new product (truck accessories) and a couple times a year I'll lend it out to our marketing folks for events, there's a matching 6x12 enclosed trailer that goes with it.

I swap wheels on it every few months to get photos of our newest models and such, so they won't be around long. I actually don't hate these though, the 35"s look mean IMO. I hate the bull-bar more....

got the morgan out this weekend... on the way out from storage, I passed a car show, so I stopped in and took a little walk. a few interesting ones. the one that I took note of was a pacer that had been modded. I remember talking with the guy about 13 years ago in Burlington about all the things he did. he had basically said he hated the pacer so much that he tried to do everything he could to make it not look or seem like a pacer... couldn't fool me!

yesterday I took it to work and then swung by my grandfathers place. he loved seeing it. I parked it out front of the building he is in so he could just look at it 15 feet away from him. I could tell he wanted to go for a ride so badly, but there is just no chance he could make it work... he is 94 now, and just isn't all that spry!
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

New windshield for the JK. Would have been $180 but I paid the extra $35 for the mobile service at work. Should be good for the next 6-8 months  ;D
