Just ordered 2 new tires  ;D

Unfortunately Bridgestone doesn't make the RE-11 in 245/45/16 anymore (which is what is currently on the rear of the 951), so I'm gonna swap the fronts onto the rears (they are 225/50/16, which was the stock size for the rears) and now the fronts will go back to the stock size of 205/55/16. So the car will have used rears that will last until the fall easily and new fronts... so next spring maybe I'll have to buy new rears, but I can still get them in 225/50/16 in the RE-11's  ;D
What was wrong with the rears  ??? They looked pretty good in the last pic you posted
No cords were showing  ;D

Ha, ha, ha! True enough! Figure I'm one good brake stand from getting down to the cords [emoji12]

I placed my order online thru Wall to Wall tires here in Ottawa & got an email that the RE-11's are no longer available, grrr!!! So now I went with the Hankook R-S4's instead, should be in sometime next week [emoji16]

You're not really going to put 205s on the front  ???

Why not just get another pair of 225s and go with that size all around.

Seems like no one is making that size in 16s.  I even checked Nexen.  :D

Front wheels are 7", rears are 8" wide... going back to old school stock 1986 sizes  ;D  Will see how much under steer I'll have now  :rofl2:

Track tires are square, right now are the BF Goodrich R1's in 245/45/16  :P

Pirelli are making a 245/45/16, but I'm too cheap to dish out $300ish a tire.

Didn't you have a 944S? Or was it an S2? What were you running for tires?

1990 S2  owned for 9 years.

245 on rear and the 225s on the fronts.  Stock wheels which I believe were 7 inch all around.

No offense but the 205s make no sense when you can easily do 225s all around.

Just thought I throw in my 2 cents.  ;D

Is there a reason that you are sticking with 16" rims?? I'm just curious because it seems that there are less and less tire manufacturers making anything for rims smaller than like 17s
Lighten up Francis.....

That's precisely why I put the 17" Fuch knock off on my car...lack of rubber choices. I made so much money selling the stock 16s that I was able to buy the 17s and tires...and still has some money left over.

Was a no brainer for me.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

I always thought the S2's had the same staggered set up as the Turbo's, learn something new I guess  ;)

No offense taken  ;D

944 turbos, both versions, and the S2 were the same car, just different motors.  I actually had a turbo tranny from 1987 as it's stamped right on the housing.

I might have asked you this before, but which knock off 17's did you go with? My car is the early offset for the 944's which are 23.3mm.

I'm racking my brain to remember. Give me a few. They looked really good though!

These are the wheels

https://www.automotion.com/euromeister_wheels

$150 a rim is a steal....

Especially when original Fuchs can get $1500-$2500s a set.

I'm sure the Porsche snobs will want me to burn in hell for having run replicas though....

What KD said is just the cherry on top. Thats insane, I wouldn't think about every running anything but the replicas, $15-2500 for a set of 16" rims is insane. What was wrong with the Carrera decals??

Some assh0le stole one of the M decals off my drivers side rear wheel a couple of weeks ago.  A few hours parked in the city was all it took.  :P.
