If we actually want to go camping, we have a 30+" camping trailer. This setup will mainly be used if I want to go out somewhere with my buddies without the wife and dog

That ain't 'camping'.  That's Glamping.

Agreed.  One of the coolest spots I've put a tent...  (just be careful going out for a late night wiz, as it's a massive drop-off all around this little oasis...)

Have you considered one of these jobbies?

Or too pricey? They look cool.

I have, but the roof rack plus tent, youre talking $1500-2000. Thats a lot of sheckels.

Expensive for one trip, maybe...but use it enough times, and the cost is amortized...

No, thats proper camping if you do not hate yourself. Tents are fine for kids and refugees, I like myself too much for that. I will sleep in the Jeep for the weekend as its easier and better than a tent, longer term than that or if the wife and dog are coming, camping trailer or hotel thank you  ;D
Lighten up Francis.....

Since I have a low/high halogen beam bulb 9012 that went out, I ordered for my Volt a HID conversion kit. We'll see how it goes.
Need to wash her later today.

I received my HID conversion kit, components looks good, to be scheduled next week-end.

Finally done today (was a hot day) to install my HID kit for the Volt. Ab it more more work than expected because I have to feed supply for the relay, PWM & ballast  :)

Yeah that is beautiful.  Even better than new...new cars don't have that freshly waxed, DEEP shine.

1/2 an hour and hitch is installed. No more tow hook. Now need an extension to clear the spare tire for the bike rack

This might work. https://www.princessauto.com/en/detail/class-ii-14-x-2-in-hitch-receiver-extender/A-p8648560e  depending on the size of your receiver.

Ordered WeatherTech floor liners for the Pilot, as well as the OEM tri-folding cargo mat.  Going to give the interior a good clean and then this purchase should help keep the interior in good shape despite the kiddos best efforts.

Noticed a slow leak in one of my tires. Check the tire and see the head of a nail/screw/something in there. Pull out a 3 inch nail which doesn't surprise me with all the construction going on behind our streets. Put in a plug for now.

Bought a set of window nets for the jeep so I can sleep in the back with the windows open and not get bugs.

Don’t come a-knockin’ when the JK’s a-rockin’.
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.
