Got a check engine light in the GTI for the first time today. Car ran fine, and when I got it home I wasn't surprised to see the infamous P2015 code when I scanned it.
It's a known issue with the intake manifold, and my car is covered under a warranty extension for that item. Well, it would have been covered if I hadn't got it tuned last year.

So, now I'm looking at a $1,100-$1,500 bill for something that should have been free. Screw that! I think I'll just get the parts and do it myself. Will be a bit of a PITA (will do the carbon cleaning while I'm in there - messy

), but oh well. Will probably buy some extra goodies from ECS tuning and install those while I'm at it.
