Is that thing lowered?? Looks great!!

It probably has air suspension.

Oh oh...is it lowered like "OH MY GOD, my $6000 Mercedes S class needs $10000 worth of air suspension work" or is it supposed to do that??
Lighten up Francis.....

It will have a few different heights, including a 'parking mode' where it lowers it all the way for easier ingress and egress.  The air suspension Rams do it too.  Plus that and automatic load-levelling when towing or hauling.  My van does that now, too.  Only I need to get out and adjust it with a bicycle pump, lol.

My GF used to work across the street from them, we'd take the cars to André back then. I just use the guy in the underground parking near work & he does a great job! Tomorrow I'm taking the 323i.

I took off my rear bumper and put on an additional tow hook on my jeep... long story that I'm not sure if I mentioned, but had to take a damaged one off a new rig, so I bought the brackets to install it on mine... I don't like waste!

new cat put in, sounds the business. Alfa is ready to go to TO for her heart surgery and tune
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Wifes girlfriend has had one for the best part of 5 years, its a 2011 or 2012 V6. Puts lots of miles driving between Edmonton and Calgary on it and its only had the blower motor go.

^thanks guys! I'm coming up on 2yrs of ownership (already, time flies) and it's been issue free... knock on wood. It's been into the dealership 3 times in total... 2 of those were for oil changes & a transmission reprogram (to put it into park if you forgot to). The 3rd visit was to change out a broken wheel stud that I cross threaded and snapped doing the tire change over last fall. I've got ~43,000kms on it and it's rattle/squeak free so far & nothing is coming apart anywhere. The diesel is great on fuel economy and seems to be pretty stout thus far.

Oh I suppose. Have not gone through the process yet.

I am not hopeful though. But I suppose at 14 years old, things wear out...even on a Lexus.

$425 ain't that bad for an AC compressor.  Not cheap, but not outrageous either.  Too bad it's a finicky job to swap out.

Do you mean you recharged it and it's still not cycling?  Or is it not cycling so you didn't recharge it?

There's usually a low pressure switch and it won't cycle unless it's somewhat charged

Replaced front pads and rotors on my car today. The rotors were the originals and I was really dreading removing the rotor screws that hold the rotors to the hub. There's two per side and all four took quite a beating from my impact driver before finally coming loose. Only hit my hand a few times while pounding away, ouch :shuffle:

Otherwise the job went very smoothly and after a quick drive to bed the new brakes everything is good.

Did an oil change on Dad's Corolla.  FML, the dealer has left his car in a shambles.  The plastic engine cover was broken, and just left sitting on top of the engine.  The drain bolt was torqued to well over 100lbs and took some serious work to undo.  The metal retainer for the oil filter housing was all bent, luckily I was able to bend it to the proper spot without breaking it.

Since I was on a roll I did an oil change on the Miata.  Fantastically, the special wrench for the Corolla fits the spin on filter on the Miata, greatly simplifying removing the well-hidden filter on the Mazda.  I didn't put the car up, but siphoned the oil out through the dipstick tube.

It was already somewhat charged (on the low end of charged)....no cycling. :(
