I enjoy the top down a lot more in the evening/night-time

^^ or overcast days.  I don't drive top down in the sun.

Scored a set of Weathertech's for the Escalade for a steal. Should come in handy with the kid...

Get a can of this and spray it on. Mind will be blown. Also...spray on all the door seals on your car and you car will get quieter.

Amazing stuff and one of the best OTC car care products I've ever bought.

^^ What’s it going to do for the Weathertechs? Mine are 8 years old and I’ve noticed no deterioration.

If it just makes them shiny and slippery, no thanks.  :P

Did a lot of work on Thursday.

The rear fog light required me to remove a good chunk of stuff. Safe to say that I am done with wiring work for a while. Just need to put in a modified switch and it should be all done.

The drive belts aren't hard to replace. I did notice that the old belts are very dry compared to the new ones.

The new AutoExe steering wheel is awesome, and a lot nicer to hold. The only thing that's a bit annoying is that it's a bit crooked. Booked for an alignment on Tuesday.

Will give it a shot....not sure if I'll do the mats with it, but it sounds like a good alternative to silicone lube for seals, which I don't like.

Looks to be similar to the Wurth rubber care. I'll have to check it out. We don't have Wurth products at my shop anymore and I loved that stuff.
Enjoying the Alberta advantage

I like it as much as other stuff I've used (Gummi Flege, Honda Shin-Etsu)...but much easier to apply.

Other bonus is easy to find and not obscenely priced.

I installed the airbags and trailer brake controller.  Oh, and did my tire swap at the same time.

And got the Porsche outta the barn. Started up right away, ran great all the way home, no issues. This week I'll change out the oil & give it a quick once over. Last fall it sounded like the front right wheel bearing was getting loud, didn't notice much today.

I surprised that there is anything left of your Porsche  :o
After driving on the roads in Ottawa today  :shake:
It only has 16" wheels with a decent sidewall, so it's not too bad. And razor sharp steering for quick maneuvers, lol!

Some of those potholes would  swallow  up your car  ;D

Beautiful. 944 Turbos are so rare now. I wish my dad never sold his.

GBA, great work on the air bag kit. I am curious to know how it works for you.

Nice job.  So the "kit" contains the bags and new springs and of course the hose.

So what kind of spring compressor did you use.  Crappy ones like mine.  :P

Got the '72 MGB up and running again. Started first crank; threw on a nice little chrome exhaust tip I had kicking around, drove it around the block and then replaced the front brake flex lines.....I'd say they were due:

Also discovered that the brake lights had quit, but was quickly able to trace it to a broken wire off the pedal switch, little solder and things were good again.

He probably didn't use one at all. Pull the lower shock bolts and lower the axle down enough (body of the van supported on the jack stands) with the floor jack until you've got enough room to pull the spring out; reverse applies for putting them back in. The beauty of simple solid rear axles.

Correct.  Just disconnect the shock absorber, then pull the axle down enough to pull the spring out.  Also, unused the existing spring.  The kit contained only the bags, hose and fittings.

Wiring in the brake controller was a pain in the ass.  Grand Caravans aren't pre-wired, so I had to feed wires through the firewall to get power, ground and brake signal.

Swapped out the SS badge

Sneaky!  Now it's a V6 too, right?  ;D

Did I say something the other day about why pay someone to change your oil?  I must've been drunk.  I changed oil on the truck today.  YTF do I constantly put myself through that shi# with that POS...mofo what a pain in the ass.  Getting the stupid plastic plate off the bottom is fun, dust in your eyes, just awkward...of course stripping the one "nut" by over-tightening it when putting it back on...banged my finger into the frame trying to loosen the drain plug, after I used the wrong size socket and almost turned the damn thing round...WTF?  How'd I eff that up? Grrr...bruised nail now and I was bleeding like a stuck pig (no idea where that comes from...do stuck pigs bleed?  ??? I probably have that wrong today too...).  Getting the filter off is another test of one's patience.  I need a filter relocation kit...effing Ford...grrr... >:(

Changing the air filter also a PITA.  Why can't they make those filter cases easier to open?  Had to use a screw driver to pop it...guess I can say I got that right because I didn't hit the paint.  :P

I don't mind changing oil...but they could've maybe asked some German's how to make it easy...  ::)

"bleeding like a stuck pig (no idea where that comes from...do stuck pigs bleed? "

That expression comes from the slaughterhouse, where you dip the pig in boiling water to get the hair off, then hang it by the feet, then stick it with a knife to kill it/drain the blood.

My diesel car self-identifies as an electric vehicle.
