Awesome! There is supposed to be one in Calgary this winter but they keep cancelling over government permits.

I went to a winter slalom on Sunday.   Kingston Subaru paid for my club membership because I entered my old Subaru, it was almost all Subaru, with a couple of Civics.

gave her new wipers, topped up the oil [a little concerning that she is starting to burn oil], new headlight bulbs, and an extra fuel canister in the trunk with the washer jugs [fuel gauge is wonky and is rarely accurate these days]

ready for a road trip

Yesterday - new t-connector for window/headlight washer system...

Washer fluid was getting to the headlights and the rear window, but nothing to the windshield.  There's a little cap on these and the cap on the one on the driver's side popped off.  Luckily I was near St. Laurent Volvo and their parts/service centre was still open.  $15.00 and 2 minutes work and everything was back in order.  Typical Chinese-European car carp - little stupid things go wrong...

I got Husky weatherbeater front and rear mats for the Edge. There was a 15% off sale direct from Husky so the entire order cost $152 USD shipped to my door.

(stock photo)

Those look really good!  Are you pleased?

Yeah....I give it till I get home to be about the same color as it was before. Just wanted to mainly blow the salt and grime off of it.

Got home around 7pm, temperature was still on the good side of positive so I came out after dinner (7:30ish), brought my big construction LED spotlights out, and gave the Escalade a good handwash and underside rinse. Did all the door jams and everything. No presser this week, so it's been running the commute and was an absolute salty disaster.....Feels good to finally see it clean again.

I am sure the neighbors think I am insane though....

I had to do that for my Taurus in 2008...$2 part - cost me over $30,000...came home with a new truck instead too.  ;D

This AM, I washed my car.  Forecast is -10's for the next week so should stay clean for a bit.

I had to jump the MDX, likely because of the bluetooth module that I finally got to unplugging. It is the culprit of battery drain on these models.
Once jumped, drove it about 40 minutes to charge it up. I turned it off and back on a couple of times to make sure.

Once done, cleaned nooks and crannies of MDX's interior, including the door pockets of the second row. Those were disgusting.

Cleaned the interior of the Ram. It's branded (CT) and has a bunch of accessories on it, I'd lent it out to a colleague for an event a month or so ago and of course the interior came back messy  >:(

Ugh. Working through my disc brake install on the Pontiac. The instructions are a bit vague but getting through it. Except when it goes time to load the calipers. They came with some clips and I can't fathom how to install them.

The calipers

The clips

Calipers with pads (no clips)

Apparently these calipers are from a 79 to 86 G-Body. Similar to a S10. Anyone have an idea how the clips would fit? Thanks.
