As you get older you will learn to hate the snow and the cold more. ;D
I'm not a ski prodigy by any means (parents come from a subtropical island in Asia after all lol), but started skiing from middle school as a kid, learned to skate as a wee kid even before that, and discovering the fun of sledding a few years ago just made me like it more. I've always been fine with cold and snow, nothing's changed over the years. And I don't see that changing !

I've always been an outdoors guy though..

Oil change on the TSX. A little harder to do than the 2 but still not bad.

Did this for my wife's Acadia today too. Easy peasy on this car.

Those suspension prices are damn good. The car might feel fine, but I bet once you get it rebuilt you'll feel a big difference. Every time I've done any significant suspension work the improvement in ride/handling is always worthwhile. Did all 4 corners on the Escalade (with factory electronic ride control & rear air shocks) last year at around 235K and it felt like a totally different truck afterwards - and I didn't have any noise or symptoms before, just figured it was time.

Aren't those quick struts Monroe?  Aren't they crap?  Maybe good enough for cheap rebuild on an old truck?  I recall buying some for my old Taurus, but didn't have it two years after replacing them.  Can't remember if they were shite or not.

KYB also has them for the highlander, same price. The Monroe’s are okay, fine for a car with over 300K on it, but I’ll probably get the KYBs anyway.

Monroe blows, well, at least the last 2 strut inserts I bought from them blew.  Lifetime warranty but I still had to change them, luckily it was an Audi 5k, you don't even have to jack up the car to do front strut inserts, if you have the special tool.
YMMV of course.

^^^^  Yeah, I know people that have had the Monroes last the rest of the life of the car and others that can't get a year out of them.  I'll go with the KYBs - glad they also make a quick-strut but I can't find them online, oddly.  Local parts store sells them.  They're more expensive than the Monroes but thanks to no shipping charges, it works out to the same price.

1st filter + oil change 100% synthetic for Volt #2 this last Saturday after 37,500 km (1.5 year). That is roughly 7,500 km on ICE range extender use for long distance trip.
So, over 80% were e-km (30,000 km) without any ICE involved... I forget to check exact % of remaining oil life (below 40% I guess) which is a computed mix between 24 months & ICE usage.

My wife and I test drove a 2017 Volt and were very impressed with it. She wants her next car to be fully electric, however I convinced her that Volt would be a better option and she test drove so far Focus electric, CMax plug in and Ioniq and the only one she liked was the Hyundai and now she really likes the Volt. Are they reliable? How much did your electric bill gone up in this time?

mum Chaos had a 2013 and just last week traded for a 2017. Her electricity bills barely budged she says, and she only had one glitch in the infotainment that was fixed at the dealer in 10 mins. Her overall fuel average was well under 1l/100km. Maintenance is minimal. She loves her 2017 even more. Chev really did a good job building the Volt.

It is just about the only alternative to the Tesla 3 I am considering for my commuter. Strongly considering.

So far, so good either with 1st generation, the Volt is a no compromise EV + range extender (or bi-energy car): either you have time & place to recharge and if not, fill up with gas to still going.

2012 Volt #1 (55K kms) from 2012 to 2014, then 2013 Volt #2 (38K) from 2016 to present. Feel solid, no rattle or battery degradation, my Volt #2 is 127,000 km by now.
Volt #1 bought new, items replaced under warranty: one rear door handle and one front strut shock absorber, 2 oil change on my arm.
Volt #2 bought used, driver side front wheel bearing replaced under warranty, 1 oil change was on me.

Sparkie is a 2012 Volt, to day it has 416,106 mi (still counting) https://www.voltstats.net/Stats/Details/1579 which is almost 670,000 kms !!
Erick Belmer is sharing its Sparkie's experience after 400,000 miles https://youtu.be/kxlxc-E8lJ4

Can't say about Gen 2th launched MY 2016.

About electric usage, anywhere from 15kWh/100 km to 30 kWh/100 km worst of winter I guess, it depends of your cabin heating & driving habits too.
nb: ICE would run intermittently under -10C (when set very low temp parameter).

Gone but not forgotten in chronological order: 2019 Volt, 2013 Volt, 2014 Spark EV, 2012 Volt and many others before...

Finally got my winters on this morning.  I'm impressed with the looks of the new wheels.  They have kind of a pewter finish to them and are a nice contrast to the white paint.

I also put on a set of splash guards this weekend that i'm not so sure of yet.  They are Chinese cheapies that i bought through Amazon.  The quality of the plastic is good and the holes all line up perfectly, so pretty good buy for <$50 imo.   :-\

Looks good, even those splash guards look like a great fit for a cheap winter option.

I haven't seen my low washer fluid light in such a long time, I'm deliberately running the fluid low to make sure the light works.  :)

My light on the Hyundai Entourage always stays lit.  Tried to clean and everything, still doesn't go off.  Although in the past  2 years, I think I have only had to fill it once.  Mechanic always does.  And I guess because we rotate vehicles so much, that it rarely gets that low.

You didn't want to try and sell it yourself?

I tried but only one person showed interest.
