Most scissor jacks require about 38,000 turns to move 1cm upward, so I could see using one to do a winter changeover time consuming.

Thats where a cordless impact comes in handy to at least get it to the frame.

Upgraded the winter look from "basic" to "ratchet".  ;D

My daughter picked up some hubcaps for me. She didn't like the black steelie look apparently. These Walmart specials were $45 for four. We'll see if they last the winter.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Oh, I know. It's not something I would have picked up myself, but she meant well, so there they are.

It's pretty dry out here, I may reconsider alloys in the future.

They aren't awful. They would be better solid black, but whatever. I appreciated the thought behind them though.

IMO they look better than black steelies. Curious to see if they can withstand a winter. For summer, the 19" Luxor wheels would look good :)

Tell your daughter I am disappointed she didn't go with Hello Kitty hubcaps.   ;D

At least some bling would give you reason to at least glance towards a white VW... ;D

Looks alright...and that's really kinda sweet.  She living with you in SK again?  Maybe I missed that.

Got the used X-ice 3 winters mounted on the 17" alloys (Vman???) that came with the 323i. Will get the boys to put them on the car this weekend for the GF... too bad No-san isn't around anymore so they could teach him :stick:  :rofl2:

Replaced the front pads and rotors on my nephews 2010 mazda 3 today.
Noticed there are a lot of Ford motor company parts on that car. The caliper carriers have the FOMOCO
on them. Also shows up on the oil dipstick. My 2006 NC miata was the same.

Hey, have I talked to you guys about alloys in winter before?

 ;D

I don't think it looks that bad, man. At least in the pictures.
You mean like this for the RX
