Amazon usually has good prices on cabin filters.

And yes, making them from furnace filters works great.

What kind of car needs a filter?
2016 Mazda 3
$25-$34 with free deliver in 2 days if you're a prime member

Nope...I was wrong. It's $45. 2016 is a larger 1 piece design.

As cheap as $9 CDN from Rock Auto. For example, for the second most expensive ( Wix ) it's $29 shipped all in. The AC Delco brand says 2 per box for $13. Might be the way to go....$24 shipped for 2 filters all in.

Also, most of the filters on Amazon USA ship to Canada.

I looked at all those prices earlier and called a few parts stores around I will go with the one from Mazda dealership at 38 bucks. They have a lot in stock and that way I don't run into a fitting issue. The Wix here in the parts stores is 52 bucks and that was my option if the dealership would have charged me more.

You'll have not fitment issues buying from Amazon or Rock. Both have fitment checking before ordering.

Replaced the driver side cv axle tonight as the original started clicking. This was my first time using air tools (impact gun and rachet) to work on my car and holy smokes was that a huge time and effort saver! The impact gun had the old axle nut removed in less time than it took to find the right socket at princess auto!

Took the V60 to Volvo for its 3yr/48K factory maintenance service.  I'm only at around 21.5K.  Service guy wanted me to do their 3-yr service vs manufacturer saying they replace things early ( ::) .. whatever) and its a major service that takes about 5 hours  :o :o

One of the things they do is to replace spark plugs even though recommended is 7yr/112K

Uhhh .. no thanks .. I'll stick to factory suggested service.

Great tire, not as good in mud and deep snow as the Duratracs but better in all other situations including ice.

Finally gave my car a good cleaning last night...toddlers can do a number on the interior.

I run OEM "all weather" floor mats year-round, just easier to keep clean with the garden hose.  I notice I've pretty much worn through the carpeted patch on my driver's side mat.  Weathertech is pricey, and I don't want to be forced to buy a front pair...can't find anything from Maxpider or Findlay that fix an xDrive, and again have to buy a pair.

Any suggestions for a replacement?
