Finished the body work on the 84 Camaro; just need to give it a good wash and wax next week when things have cured. Bodywork is VERY time consuming....
I took the SS and the SLK out after they sat for awhile; took the SLK out for a nice dinner with Mrs.Firm yesterday, that car still feels amazing on a hot night with the top down cruising the lakeshore.

Today I tinkered with the orange MGB a bit; some undercoating, painted the rear drums, etc...Light stuff as I am back to my real job tomorrow :(

Some pics from the driveway:

And after a bunch of sanding and problems with paint due to heat/humidity....meh, I'm not happy.

Washed the car, changed the air filter.  Changing the cabin filters tomorrow.  First time I did the cabin filters it took me longer than it should have.  I'll be ready this time.

Looking good for almost 8 years old.

Hard to believe it's that old. Looks great.

Thanks!  It was built in September 2009.

I had the front end links and stabilizer bushings replaced this morning. Silence has returned to the front suspension.  Handles better, steering feels better.

Any particular brand for the cabin air filter? Where did you buy it from?. I'm looking at replacing mine as I don't wanna pay the dealer over 80 bucks to do it, also on my 2016 is very easy as the filter is accessible behind the glove box without having to unscrew.

I use Wix for both the air and cabin filters, purchased at Piston Ring here in Winnipeg.

The cheapest I found here is 48 bucks. The Dealership has the filters for 38 bucks. Does it matter which one I use? The WIX seems to be pretty expensive around here.

Doesn't matter.  Some folks even cut furnace filters to fit.

Took it in for its annual check-up and oil change.  The last of the free ones.  Everything looks good - rear brakes have at least a year left, fronts at least 2.  Warranty is up in about 2 weeks.  The car has been warned not to f#$% up.

Got my car washed and waxed at my usual hand wash place.  Of course the thunderstorm broke during the wash and continued for the next hour.   ::) :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

I had some suspension work done on the '93 Volvo 850 I used to own.  When I got the car back it was a new animal - the handling was amazing -- felt like it was on rails.  I called it my personal TGV after that.

Amazon usually has good prices on cabin filters.

And yes, making them from furnace filters works great.

What kind of car needs a filter?

Unfortunately, with my cabin filter being two stacked pieces, cutting a furnace filter wouldn't work.
