^ Thanks - they do look pretty good don't they.   ;D  The CX-5's grey is interesting, if grey can be interesting.  Depending on the light angle it looks a bit brown (like in the 1st pic)
Oh, and to cement my Mazda slappy status, when I took delivery of the CX-5 I was given a Mazda ball cap.  And, yes I've worn it while driving both

The CX-5 could use a clay bar & seal.  Will tackle that when i'm off in a few weeks.

Speaking of the CX-5, it is a pain to get completely clean. Lots of small gaps between trim pieces that trap dirt - that little gap between the chrome strip around the grille and the fascia (just above the front plate) does an awesome job of catching and keeping a tenacious hold of various flying insects.  Fun getting the carcasses and assorted scrambled bug guts out of there...
I'm used to the MX-5 & its less than 1 beer job to detail.

This is great stuff!!

How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Something amazing has happened here.
It's been about 36 hours since it has rained.  No Niagara Falls like downpours, nothing.

To mark the occasion, the grey fleet got a good cleaning and detailing today.

Optimum No Rinse still rules for shine and ease of use.  I've tried a few other similar products and nothing comes close.
Still the best product of its kind out there.

Very nice fleet you got there. And really like that grey.

was booting around in the morgan this weekend... took my son for a few rides and he loved it...

went to the local crappy tire to see if they carried oil filters for it... their computer said to check at the desk... guy there asks what car and to the answer says he hasn't seen one in years... pretty rare car, so i press him on it. says, "back when i was an apprentice, the owner of the dealership i worked at had one"... i asked what dealership and he replied... i started talking about the dealer and if he remembered the owner or other employees well and we chatted for a bit... then i got to introduce him to his old boss' (who he had great things to say about) great grandson standing next to me... small world.

anyway, have it up on a hoist right now trying to grease it up... felt good to have it out... figure 47 years, it's at 22865 miles... it needs to feel the road some more.
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

Used launch control with my 14 year old son.  He screamed.

Kind of boring because it is so easy, frankly.

Making him scream or the launch control?   ;D

Looks great Weels!  Unfortunately washing the vehicles is like #5 on my to do list.  Lawns, side jobs, replacing my back fence (so far the locates have been done, and 1/2 is ripped out, bin arrives today), followed by house work, then washing the cars.  The rain helps with washing the cars, but they are kinda dirty since it hasn't rained....

Lookin good Weels!

I rolled 28K on the S2000 on Monday during a drive down the Fundy coast!  I was a virtually perfect day for the drive, and we haven't had many!

Insurance and registration in place. First shakedown drive of the Beater B was a success.

That car actually looks really good; and that road doesn't look half bad too....I'd love to be there right now instead of this office  ::)

Photos flatter it. I'm in the office right now too. I'd like to get it out on a mountain road once I trust it a bit more.

Back at the track today. Had some sessions on the slicks & then the sky opened up so back onto my road tires for laps at the end of the day. Around 30secs slower in the rain, car without any safety nannies really gets you aware quickly, lol!

I took the B in the annual Street Machine cruise. At registration time I was told to wash the car before the cruise. It was a little dusty to be fair. It got as much of a wash as $1 provided at the self serve coin car cash.

Rad Rod in line for the cruise registration. He got told to clean his vehicle too  :rofl2:

As some of you might know, its calgary stampede time.  Washed my bimmer, took it out for a cruise thru town for people watching.

Saw a lambo, and Fiata in the flesh.  Fiata looked good.  Better than pictures.

Also
Got a thumbs up from a dude on the street.  He shouted something about color.  Must be drunk... ;D
