Just ordered a leveling kit for the Jeep.....can't wait for the new springs to arrive.

Just bringing the front end up? Or a small lift in the rear as well?
2' in front and 1" in the back

Nice, should be able to run 33's with no issue after that  :stick:  ;D

That would involve a regear...and if I was going to regear, no way would I keep the stock axles......and if I was going to put some 1 ton axles on it why would I bother with only small little 33's, might as well stuff some 40's under there  ;D

It's not running 3:73's stock at least?

Its a 3.07 or a 3.27.....I could get to 300mph if they gave me enough of a downhill run.
Lighten up Francis.....

Yikes!! I had the tow package on mine, so the 3:73's were standard, without it they were 3:55's.

There's a wire that runs from the harness on the passenger's side of the engine bay, across the area where the oil filter is and into the side of the distributor...I *think* it's beige/brown striped. It's in a stupid location and always gets beaten up, it's a main power feed into the distributor from the ignition, check that it's connected up properly and then check the wire itself for continuity. I've had trouble with that wire before (accidentally pulled it when removing an oil filter and spent hours chasing a no-start).

It lives. My wire was green reinstalling it made it run again!

A guy I know bought a flood-damaged Rubicon Unlimited for pretty much nothing.  His plan was to build a sweet custom machine and in his words "for half the cost of a new one!"

 :rofl2:

He's spent MORE than a new one and it's still not as good as a new one.

Ha....ya no. I know Jeeps, if you want to build it right, its $20k just in axles and another $5k just for a t case. Sure the other parts of the drivetrain are cheap but there are parts you can't scrimp on. Just a decent cage is a few grand.

Awesome!! Glad it worked out. It's always something silly like that...

Someone just extrude honed their upper and lower intake on the 1999 LS400.  It's the same intake on the LS430.  The results were pretty surprising....and has me thinking of doing it to my LS.

The peak numbers are only "meh"...10HP and 27TQ.  But it's the under the curve numbers that make me say "wow!".  Up to 4300RPM, no less than a bump of 45TQ and at 4000 a whopping 60 TQ!

Not too shabby..and has me thinking seriously about this.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

$600

DOHC engines like to breathe.  I was reviewing some dyno results on the old, stock 5.0  HO manifold (pushrod) engine.  And even in that application is made 30 TQ....

Fixed the A/C on the CR-V a simple recharge was all it needed....it's off to a new home come weeks end. My little Cousin is going to enjoy it as her first "very own" vehicle.

Probably would have made sense if you were using the flood-damaged Rubicon as a parts Jeep on a lower modeled Jeep.  Trying to get the original back in perfect working order would have been a major expense because of all the electronics in vehicles nowadays.

Rip every bit of OEM wiring out, get a standalone engine harness and get a Painless Wiring body harness.

Finally got my Thing back on the road.

Moved some stuff around in my shop. Hopefully, the Thing won't need the lift for a while.
