Took advantage of the crappy weather and washed the interiors last night and tonight.  Really glad i put the new led lighting in the garage last year too.  That was well worth the effort!

Good view of how far back the engine sits in the bay.

I also like that you can see the actual engine and not some plastic shroud covering up everything.

So clean, everything looks fantastic from this side

Thanks guys!  It's a relatively easy car to clean.  ;D

The new lighting made a huge improvement over the old.  I didn't enjoy working out there at all before because the light was so spotty.  Best part is that I have a lot more light now while consuming about the same power as single one of my old 200W bulbs.  8)

Yeah, my seat time has been limited as well due to the sh!tty weather.  Not sure what your schedule is tomorrow, but I will be at the brewery working tomorrow until about 2:45 if you want to stop by for a beer.  I definitely want you to take the MR2 for a drive and see what you think.

Not me, but my wife did this to the truck today!   :o :P ::) :-\

:'( :'( It's old now...might as well park it outside for the squirrels to decimate.  At least there's tonnes of foot/nut room in the box or interior.  Living large they will.

You have room in your garage to do the interior & work on the car?

Well, some better overhead lighting won't interfer with car work :)

I picked up a Thule rack from Kijiji for $125.  Out of interest I looked at the retail price. $580 with taxes!

Also put in the Travall cargo mat. I'm super impressed with it. It's a heavy rubber that is really grippy.  The VW one was more expensive and was a flimsy slippery plastic.

Conditioned the leather, and vacuumed. Interior looks brilliant as usual.

Also hustled up one of the tightest, most technical backroads up to the Parkway. It's a reminder that the E90 chassis remains fluid and balanced, the Active Steering is the perfect tool (none of this electric steering nonsense), and overall the package is tight. There's little nosedive, and the DSC is well-calibrated. Left it in DTC (half) mode, as there were damp spots from last night's rain. The system never insults, never oversteps its bounds, just a minute correction when the rear end breaks loose. Easy to drive very cleanly and quickly.

The end of these kinds of drives is always bittersweet though; I feel like I'm on the verge of wrecking a very expensive gearbox.  :stick:

ATV was making funny noises...took the axle apart...3 balls left, found 3 more in the axle tube...everything else, powder.  Looks like the inside part of the hub might be worn out good too.  Hmmm...fack.

Now with pictures!  :light:

Even this part looks kinda worn out

Did you order it from travall.ca?  Does it really smell like vanilla?
Hmm...might consider getting one for the wife's CR-V.

I ordered it from amazon.ca but Travall was listed as the seller.

It really does smell like vanilla.

Shipping was about a week.  And there was a $25 customs charge.  A bit of a surprise but it's still cheaper than the VW one and a lot cheaper than the Weathertech.

It's heavier than I thought it would be. The shipping info said 4.8 kg and I believe it.

Super happy with it. Stuff doesn't slide around at all.

^^ Yeah, that looks really good. I bought the VW one and wouldn't buy it again. It's a little stiff and plasticky, and the lip where it meets the rear seats seems to have permanently folded over. Not a huge deal, but if there was a big liquid spill back there, it wouldn't be contained.

Otherwise, it's held up fine over years of use and is still going strong. I'm sure I'll have it for the life of the car. I'm not really motivated to replace it at this point.
