First oil change on the GTI. $100+ tax in about 30 min including a quick car wash. Service wad pretty good and the dealer is only few min from my house which is a bonus.
:o

Ha, ha..... expensive, eh?! Pretty much the norm for synthetic oil change at the dealer, give or take few bucks and it is very close to the price you would pay if DIY.

It takes 6L (5.7 L to be exact) of synthetic 5W-40, plus the filter, O-ring, plug and you are looking at about $80+tax. I don't find about $20 labor to be exaggerate at all plus it's done at the dealer so there is a record on the work being done if anything happens.

Not my car, but my kids car.  Installed Roush mufflers today (that was fun).   :o  Holy. Shi#!! Those are NOT quiet, at all.  He started it up after we were done and my wife said the 3 of us boys looked like idiots.  ;D  All had this big ass shi7 eating grin...damn!  ;D What a beautiful noise!  His neighbours will hate him.  :P I wonder how many cops will like him.  Give it some revs and it goes all Rice Krispies on you.

Maybe I should put one on the Sonic...that would sound half as good, right?  :rofl2:
Needs a V8 to sound right. It got a V8?  :rofl2:

My slant-six Volare sounded pretty darn good after installing a 2.25 inch exhaust (up from 1.825), a Flowmaster muffler and resonator.  I miss that car.   :(

My truck was only $70 at the dealer

My uncle went through a period in the 80s where he drive a series of Darts and Valiant, all 225 powered. I understand why you miss it. I wish I had one now.

That's not full synthetic though is it?

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

Changing the 6,5 litres of synthetic oil on my 325i costs about 100 $US in parts when I do it myself.

Sorry Fob...some reason p-bucket isn't accepting my download. Gets to 100%...and nothing.  Plenty on you tube, problem being video does not give any real indication of how good it sounds, or how bloody loud it is. Sounds better than any Mercedes V8 on the net, if that helps. ('cause they all sound like shi#)

F@CK ME!!!

So I had to hug, comfort, and console the car yesterday afternnon, after some a$$hat in an LCBO parking lot backed out of a spot without looking and smaked the C30 on the right front-passenger corner -- narrowly missing the headlight, but messing up the headlight washer...

2016 just keeps on giving...

Photobucket sucks-so damn slow.  I've switched over to Imgur.
