Blacked out is just trendy - not "better".  I like some contrast - makes things more visually interesting.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Just ordered a new set of rear tires for the S2000.  It's nice and sunny here today, so gonna do some yard work until my wife gets home, then off for a drive to burn off what's left of the old ones.  ;D

Got less than 18k on the OE Brigestone Potenza RE050s.  :P. Front ones still have lots of tread.

New rubber on the T/A

Busy day in the garage today actually:
-Replaced the dash pad on the 96 (that sucked!) with one that isn't broken in a million peices - obviously a huge improvement.
-Moved the wheels around on the T/A to correct the misplacement (front and rears mixed up) courtesy of the tire shop.
-Replaced distributor cap, rotor, coil and ignition wire on the T/A....Old parts were original, 31 years old and still worked! Car runs noticeably smoother now thou.

If it's not raining tomorrow I am hoping to finally get the SLK out of it's slumber.

Didn't do anything to the car, but cleaned out the garage & set up the new tool chest that I got for Christmas along with the 400pc socket set that the GF got me for Christmas as well. Now no more running in & out of the house to get tools. Should be set from now on

Some major (for me) surgery on the TR6... Clutch replacement time which means either taking out the engine or taking out the transmission. The latter is the recommended approach, which also entails removing most of the interior. I guess Triumph had some Germans working for them when they designed this.

This of course means dealing with old, nasty carpet underlay and fiber board covers, plus various rusted, broken or seized bolts. About at the stage to separate the trans from the engine now. Once that's out of the way I can get to and replace the clutch, then just have to put everything back together again so likely another couple of weekends (or more) work ahead, but hoping it will drive much better once done...

^^Great work SeaBlue.

My tasks were a little bit simpler today.  Changed the engine, rear diff, front diff, and tranfer case oils in Tundra.  The latter three all use the same oil so that simplifies things a bit.  Diff and transfer case oils looked good, feels like almost a shame to be changing them.  Drain plug magnets were pretty clean also with just a thin layer of fines accumulated on them.  That's a good sign.

Rotated the tires and put a new speaker in the LS430.

Tires aren't quiet enough for me IMO.....may have to buy new ones.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Picked up a full set of these Maxpider 3D all weather car mats for both the Genny and the Fit.  Much MUCH nicer than the Weathertechs I had in the Sonata:

I always find it weird that weathertechs don't go all the way up the dead pedal.

Been there and have the scars to prove :)
It's actually a slightly better design than the MGs, which require the engine to come out first. I'd rather deal with some interior trim over disconnecting everything from the engine. Worse part on the Triumphs IMO is getting at all the bell-housing bolts. Second worse part is lining it back up from inside the car to reinstall - make sure you've got a few friends to lend at hand....Last time I did this (Spitfire) it was my 5'3" wife an I in a cramped garage hovering around the freezing mark...LOTS of cussing.
Get the flywheel resurfaced while you're in there, and if the ring gear looks sketchy at all get it replaced too....Do it right and don't touch it again for decades.

Took a day off yesterday - washed, claybarred & applied sealant to the MX-5.  Smoooooth
Then promptly went for a good romp and got it covered in thousands of suicidal bugs.

Don't feel like bothering for a 3rd car used truck....

Personally I often find those used purchases to be more interesting than new ones.

We're getting ready to do the clutch on IQs IS300.  It's well over 300,000kms and still on the stock clutch.  Very, very impressive.  The downside?  The stock flywheel is dual mass.  Re-surfacing dual mass flywheels is a PITA and only a few specialty places seem to be able to do it correctly.  A new flywheel is $1500!!   :o  What to do?  Put in what is essentially a clutch kit for the NA Supra of course!  But most of those kits come with an aluminum lightweight flywheel.  I don't want that.  So I finally found someone with a light steel flywheel.  Stock flywheel is a staggering 32 lbs.  The new flywheel is ~14lbs.  ARP bolts come with the kit, which is a nice touch and also the new uprated slave cylinder rod.  Pretty pleased with the kit and cost wasn't horrific....$620 US for top shelf components.

The lightweight flywheel should make the engine feel a bit more free revving....

I have wondered about this sometimes. Sure, a light flywheel will make the engine feel free revving. However, what happens when you engage the clutch? The engine doesn't have the benefit of the energy stored in the flywheel to drive the car. Piston travel provides a greater share of propulsion. Would it increase wear on the engine?

No extra wear that you'd notice
