Took the beast on its first "real" drive, to the Woss Lookout trailhead parking lot.

Here is the Google image of the road, the red thing is the upper parking lot.  It is much steeper than it looks.  In the above photo, just to the right of the Forester you can see the lower switchback peeking through the trees.  A real good workout for X Mode, and it worked very well.  The lookout itself is on the top of the hill, and about a 20 min walk from the upper parking lot.  The drive to the upper lot is not recommended unless you have good ground clearance and are comfortable with driving steep (20%+) roads.  The main parking lot is at the bottom of the road.

We have lots of drives like that here, just saying  ;D  Just that most of them just end with nothing really to go to.  In this case though there is the trail.  The drive to the lower parking is pretty simple, a car carefully driven could do it when its dry.  About 8 kms from the highway one-way.

More on the Woss Lookout can be found here: http://www.islandcoastaltrust.ca/project/woss-fire-lookout-tower.  A very cool project.  Short, but tough walk to the lookout btw.

Washed/waxed the 3er yesterday evening. I like washing it.......less so the wheels.......but waxing is probably at the bottom of list of things I like to do.

I need to stop by the dealership and pick up some anti-squeal paste for the front brakes though. It's been screeching under normal urban braking since I got it in Dez and it's really getting on my nerves now that I'm driving with the windows/moonroof down all the time.

I've always loved the 944.  The car looked great on Sunday!

Had it detailed - so much easier to maintain with a good base coat of wax.  And do lazy these days when it comes to establishing that good base coat.

Couple days back added mud guards and had the dealer swap out the slanted H for a Genesis wing rear badge - don't want to get left too far behind when they go to the new model stream in 2017!  ;D

But did you adjust pressures for a smooth no bump ride?  Sorry, couldn't help it...  ;)
