Yeah, I had a 2016 Pathy a couple weeks ago. Very forgettable; lots of space, and reasonably comfortable, but there's just no good reason to buy one when there are so many better SUVs out there for the same $. Pathy was noisy inside (relatively), steering dead, CVT makes it feel slow, and it looks very bland.
So what would be your top 5 for the same money  ???

In no particular order...

Highlander
Pilot
Sorrento
Touareg (maybe a stretch $ wise - too lazy to check)
Explorer
I would not put a Sorrento in there, I drove it around the block and took it back, did not like the seats, found the rest Sorrento look cheap compared to the HL

It's a Kia. Enough said. But it's a better value than a Pathfinder, looks better (IMO), and should prove more reliable (based on the comments here regarding the CVT in the Pathy). The Sorrento wouldn't be my first choice either, but I'd have it over a Pathfinder.

I forgot to include Grand Cherokee....It's a little more $ than the Pathfinder, but much, much nicer in every respect.

Also, blind spots are huge, tons of buttons and it's thirsty.  I've been driving it like a grandma...so the CVT is a non-issue in this situation.  Mine is relatively quiet inside.  But it still has that unsettled SUV ride..rocking and porpoising.

How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Went to get the wiper blades at the dealership for the 6. They had brochures for the new CX-9 coming in June. I had time to kill.  Spoke with the sales guy who leased me my 6.  Asked what is the scenario to get the leased transferred to the CX-9. After an hour, he figured it's about $128 extra a month for the GS trim, with a $1000 down (because they are taking pre orders).   So he says when they come in, and with red, he will give me a call.  Kind of sad to see the 6 go. Time to drive it, like I stole it.

Thought you were still in love with the 6? All that teaching the wife how to drive a manual for nothing?  ;)

The previous CX-9 was not popular with me, but I imagine the newest one will be significantly improved.

Previous gen got a good used review.  And I thought it was a nice place to be in. Why no love from you?

Well I was hoping to get more comments from the peanut gallery, but no such luck! A sad attempt for April fools joke! The 6 is staying where it is!

put down a deposit for my Model 3

cant wait to configure it: AWD, obsidian black or ruby red with faux-leather seats, alcantara wheel and headliner, and piano black interior trim

somewhere like 150k on the list or something...so who knows when I will get it! I can wait though...

"Camping season is here" Sorta, we just got 10cm of snow, and I am going camping Thursday April 21, for 3 days.  Worse case scenario, I will use the furnace...

Still waiting for my car to be finished....

I forget how good the Levinson sound is.  The Pathfinder has the premium sound..and it sounds like :censor: compared to my 12 year old LS...

It's worth splurging on a high end sound system in a nice quiet, comfy car like the LS.  Does yours have the active noise cancellation?

No.  I don't think it needs it.  It was among the quietest cars on the road and Mark Levinson tailored the sound to the cars "sound stage".

I does have this thing that raises/lowers the volume depending on ambient noise though.

Apparently, a fog light is on back order for my LS.  They said I'd have the car back the earliest Friday.  2 minutes after I get off the phone with bodyshop, rental car company calls.  They told me today was the last day for the rental and please could I bring the car back.  Sigh...calling the insurance company now to square this away...

just switched the VW to all season tires.

thought about leaving it on since it's pretty much done anyway so i could just use it up, but the steelies are just not good looking.

front passenger side shock absorber is dead.

but then no problems with ride or anything so i may just wait a bit.

so far, in 160k km, alll the work need done on this thing are :
both front axles, one front wheel bearing, rear brakes.

damn this thing is reliable.

That actually quite sub-standard.
