What did you do to your car today?

The Subaru is a prime example of cars aging with less use. Occasional use seemed really hard on it.

Hit 20,000km on the 6.  It was due for an oil change (by time, not mileage).  Since I was there, figured I would have the summers put on.  Little early, but I don't care.  Pissed off when the guy recommended a wheel alignment, every 20k we recommend it.  I remember getting bugged for doing it every I got new tires.

Around 250K on the 95 Legacy Wagon.  2.2 engine still runs strong .. and 4AT shifts fine...   but its pretty much a rust-bucket ( mostly cosmetic rust, though - can't say I took that good care of the body).  And it is certainly a car with only occasional use... as in .. sitting in an unheated garage all winter waiting for warmer weather to attempt the fix for the key&keyway (that was a different thread)... and before that .. maybe 5 - 7K / year for the last few years

It sounds like you guys haven't had a real winter at all this year anyways. I'm thinking I'll switch the Focus and Odyssey late March this year, and keep the Rondo's winters on a bit later (it needs new summers anyways)

It got up to 10 degrees here in NL today so I got a good wash and interior cleaning in after work.

Best combo ever dropped into a chassis by Subaru.

At my Ford dealership they do a laser alignment check every time i bring the car in as part of the intake process. They have never suggested i get an alignment done.

I avoid the dealership as much as possible.  Only time I go is the oil change, same price, nicer environment compared to indie, new cars to see, and it's less than 2km away.  But man they are jerks.

I just do an alignment when I buy new tires, once or twice.

It was such a beautiful Spring-like day yesterday that, like just about everyone else in town, I decided to get the car washed and vacuumed. Shoulda known better, today it's raining.... ::)

Oh come on, you know that washing the car increases the chances of rain to 80% automatically.

Finally replaced the headlights in the 96 Firebird. No more single headlight sketchiness.
Then i had to pickup some French doors at HD, I probably could've got them into the Charger (test car) but it was a good excuse to get the Sonoma out. I hadn't driven it since before Christmas, so I figured the run would do it some good. Tires were flat spotted, but smoothed out after a few kms.

Did an oil change on the Mazda. Tempted fate by swapping off the winter tires. No blizzard yet. Checked on the brakes - at 65k kms they seem to show no wear at all.

Good to hear.  Just like me oil change, and summer tires. But I didn't do the work. Although we are forecasted to get 15cm on Tuesday.  Wife can take the van to work.

I'm surprised you swapped so early. In Germany, the saying is "from O to O", meaning October to Easter.

I swap next week but well, I live well south of you guys so spring comes earlier and with fewer surprise swings/snowstorms.

Geez, we have everything coated in freezing ice this morning and more snow on the way. Seems the Prairies sent us their weather in retaliation...

It is early but it hasn't snowed in weeks. The forecast has no snow for the next two months and hardly anything even dipping into negative.

That said I woke up to snow this morning.  :rofl2: Sorry Southern Alberta - this one is on me.

^Looks great! I love a blue E46 M3; hope to own one one day (I could afford one now, but the maintenance requirements would push my budget)
