I replaced the rad on my truck.  I was a little miffed that it had a slow leak at the top where the plastic tank meets the aluminum after only 120k and 8 years.  However, I was pleasently surprised with how easy the replacement went.  Two hours and some scuffed knuckles and the truck was back on the road again.

Oh, and I should mention, it was much cheaper to source the rad locally than from any parts place on the internet.  I've noticed this more and more lately, the online sources can't compete with the locals.  Good stuff.

Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Nice work! Glad to hear you were able to get a good price locally, I've yet to find anything like that recently, but I do miss the old days of buying parts from the parts store down the street rather than waiting around for the UPS guy.

Getting sick of working on cars and it's not even Spring yet.

Spent 9 hours straight on Saturday removing, rebuilding and re-installing the rear calipers on the T/A. Also did new flex lines. Everything was filthy, it was windy and cold outside, I had to remove a rear control arm to get a caliper bolt out....spent another 45 minutes wrestling with the arm to get it lined back up. Major PITA.

Today I washed the Firebird (nice handwash in the driveway), painted some engine compartment splash panels I built for the Spitfire, installed a new headlight bulb in the T/A and put new license plate stickers on the Sonoma & SLK.

Then why did you buy it?  ;D    I need your secret to getting 9 hours available on a weekend... I would try to get ahead of housework, instead of falling behind...  Plan to change some fluids on the van in the spring...

FMP ?

First Markham Place. A plaza full of Asian restaurants, and terrible drivers.

Not really. Its at 7 / Woodbine. Its much quieter than Pacific Mall and much better food (legit restaurants).

Changed over to summer tires on the weekend, replacing my leaky OEM alloys at the same time:

Not really sure about the anti theft lug nuts, thinking of replacing the aftermarket center caps with Pontiac ones and the lug nuts with regular.

I think those lug nuts look good. Save your money and keep them.

Changed over to All-Season tires yesterday.

Today I vacuumed and cleaned the inside of the car after a winter of neglecting it.  Kids are MURDER on car interiors.

Yesterday I used some Spray Nine (amazing stuff btw) to degrease the Spitfire engine bay, came out really nice. Then I changed the 3 drive belts on the Trans Am, and pulled out the center console so I can give it a really good scrub (previous owners were smokers).

Today started the Sonoma up and drove it around for the first time since early December. Went without a hitch, thing's running well. I changed the oil and parked it back in the garage until the weather improves.

swapped the car seats so I can get my wife's car in for some maintenance... while doing that, figured I had a few minutes so did the red tow hooks thing on the new jeep and put on the assist handles. oh, and threw on some wipers on the patriot. the Costco ones... just too good a deal on those and they have always seemed to work well for me...

thinking I might do a couple little quick clean up things on the patriot tomorrow while I have it in... thinking i'll paint the rims black and keep the "aluminum" center cap... (they are those ugly "styled steel" wheels)... the rims are getting some corrosion and the aluminum paint is flaking off... definitely need a good clean up in there as the others have mentioned, kids destroy stuff... especially when its a car that I don't care about bringing in food or whatever.
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

Loaded it up with 2 subwoofers, stereo stand (assembled), shelves (disassembled), large laser printer and a few other odds/ends to fill the entire car with the seats down. Glad I bought a hatch.

Oh ya...finally washed it again. Looks nice without all that salt and sand covering it.

Summer tires since 05. March  ;D, good timing as well........for North Carolina.

On Friday, I replaced the brake pad wear sensor on the 3er. First time I'd done it, went smoothly. The Service Indicator is happy now.

I called last week to book my tire changeover appointment.  For April 20th.
