hmmm.... this told me i had just posted 20 seconds ago, so i couldn't post... then said i had already posted that post... then after checking, neither post come up.... interesting.

anyway, got that grill insert put on... took five minutes! helps that i've swapped grills on jeeps before. looks good i think. not the best pic, but ah well.

as for the door, it looks good now. we'll see if it lasts. warranty told my shop that they are done paying for that fix now. they say as far as they are concerned, they paid to have it fixed, it should have been fixed. so if it comes back, i guess the body shop will eat those costs, because i'm not going to pay a dime!
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

It's a nice piece of kit and seems to keep the bugs off the rad/condenser.
+1 on the colour   ;D

For me, I didn't exactly work on the cars however the work I did was for the cars.
Garage is in winter mode  :D  There is still space on each side against the walls, so I can tighten it up a bit and fit a snow blower between them. The KTM is in behind the Jeep, there's a 5x7 or so "nook" at the back of the garage that extends past the back wall.

What do you think of the attitude of the warranty?  Is this from the place you work?

Took the S2000 out for a good run before parking it for the winter. Its 1 degrees, windy, and the tires were as hard as rock. What a blast driving under constant wheel spin.

the warranty is chrysler... so through my shop, but it's the guys on the other end of the phone who are saying no more...

i get what they are saying... they paid out what should fix the stated problem... doesn't mean i like it though. the first time, the body shop tried to do less work and only take it down through the clear coat and make more profit... didn't work and came back, so the second time they had to actually do what they should have done the first time...

if they had done the first fix fully, when they saw the rust, it could have been addressed before the claim was paid... but since it was "fixed" according to a body shop, chrysler paid and is done as far as they are concerned.

my shop has said if it comes back it will be fixed... but it will most likely be a combo of goodwill/body shop money.

Replaced the dull yellow OEM headlight bulbs in mrs tpl's Fit with Sylvania Ultras.   Topped it up with gas. Holy Moley  9.3 l/100.  What has she been doing...lots of 5 km trips I think.

I can't believe they would treat their own staff like this, you're supposed to drink the kool aid.  I would have asked for a new door.

Took the TT-RR for a drive...first time in over two weeks. -2 and no snow tires...pure awesomeness on cold asphalt.

You don't understand the business/environment.  A new door was never coming.  Perfection is not a word that exists in a new car dealership, particularly a Chrysler store .  2less got the A+ treatment from my reading.  It got repaired to an "acceptable standard".   The bar is low in this business.  One needs to roll with it.  :)

I was at C.T. and could not resist the $100.00 off, now $39.99 on the impact gun. I know that it's not the best product but considering I will use it twice a year on 2 cars it's not an issue.
My current impact electric wrench is somewhat flaky requiring me to shake in order for it to get started. Granted it's has a solid casing, weighs a ton and a pass me down.
