What did you do to your car today?

Last spring the Porsche dealer had a gorgeous low km 997 911TT that had I been a single guy I probably would have borrowed money to buy. Thank gawd for my missus or I'd probably be living in a car. An expensive one, but I'd still be homeless.

Today I took a highway to the nearest Princess Auto (tire storage cover) to make sure the balancing was done right. Coz a day before my Genny got a gift at Costco - a set of 18" Michelins on OEM Hyundai rims  :D
I'll post pics in the tire thread later.

Put the snows on.

TSX had a small exhaust leak, and it sounded like a early 90's Honda  :P Got one of the exhaust gaskets replaced.

A few little things.  Still beats car payments.

I should have let it be. I mean, ricers pay for that sound right?  :rofl2:

Vacuumed out the Forester and 3, put in the winter floor mats. Still have to put some plastic down under them. Winter tire change over is now done too. The summers are washed and put away til spring... :(

I'm sure he's talking about adhesive plastic film like you see in new/used cars

chicago mix is awesome... blasphamy ab!

hahaha!

what the hell?!?! i can't believe those panels could take that!... well.. the front quarter looks to be creasing.. i bet a well placed hammer will cause it to buckle. and that is at a shop... my god... i don't even....

so my car is at the body shop getting that paint fixed... they got the paint off.... it...was...... RUSTED! that's what caused it! my fricken god. well, can't expect these things to last forever...

they are going to try and fix it now, but we'll see what happens... i have a feeling i'll be getting a new door under warranty in the near future.

WHAT?! I just read this. RUST?! Geezus, something was put together wrong for it to rust like that!

yeah, no clue.. the guy doing the work stopped and called me as he was taking it down.... i had it "fixed" first at like 1000km... so yeah, it must have been painted over a part of the door that was ready to go... i would think already showing rust... as it has aged (all of 4 months or whatever) it has gotten worse...

got it back today and it looks good... we'll see how long it lasts... almost hope not long so i can get it done whole shooting match.
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now
