My girlfriend's mother thought that it was "dangerous" if I didn't have an impact wrench to tighten her lug nuts.  ::)

You are correct.  The Jack is certainly the most complicated part.

But I know people that honestly do not know how the wheel comes off, forget jacking it up.

Got my wife's car detailed - mobile detailing service.  Yeah, I know, it's almost winter - I should have had it done in the spring!

hahaha!

what the hell?!?! i can't believe those panels could take that!... well.. the front quarter looks to be creasing.. i bet a well placed hammer will cause it to buckle. and that is at a shop... my god... i don't even....

so my car is at the body shop getting that paint fixed... they got the paint off.... it...was...... RUSTED! that's what caused it! my fricken god. well, can't expect these things to last forever...

they are going to try and fix it now, but we'll see what happens... i have a feeling i'll be getting a new door under warranty in the near future.

Wow!!  So that means the door was rusted before they painted it at the factory?   :o

Wrangler: swapped over to the winter tire setup, did the 1st oil/filter change (18 ft-lb seems like a lot to me for a plastic filter cap and plastic assembly, and there are reports of 3.6L oil filter assemblies cracking/leaking) and installed one of these with the short nipple :

I was going to do my winter tire change over today on the Forester and the Mazda3. But the day just got nicer and nicer. So Mrs 5 Wheel Drive and I took the Miata for a nice top down rip out through some back roads. Enjoying it while I still can!

Good call!
I had the day off today and I took the Sonoma for a good run to a meeting up in Vaughn.  Hadn't moved it in weeks, so it was probably good for it to get some use. Spent the rest of the day working on the Spitfire; mending a tear in the seat and replaced the slopped steering coupler with an upgraded heavy duty unit - best $50 I've spent on that car to date.

TSX had a small exhaust leak, and it sounded like a early 90's Honda  :P Got one of the exhaust gaskets replaced.

Filled up the m3's tank. It goes to sleep now. I was going to take a last, long drive in the countryside this weekend, but it's too cold now, can't risk it with the summer tires.

Got my wife's car detailed - mobile detailing service.  Yeah, I know, it's almost winter - I should have had it done in the spring!

Nice! The more time goes by, the more I like the way the E82 looks.

A few little things.  Still beats car payments.

Yup. Haven't had a car payment in about thirteen years and I don't miss it one bit. I prefer driving something a bit older that requires a little more care and feeding than shelling out every month. The costs of running an older car don't come close to what a payment on a new car would be.

Love no car payments -- hopefully never have one again but you never know.
