Had Continental Extreme Winter Contact winter tires installed this morning.

Had those on my 335i too.  I liked them well enough.  They're a good deal right now too, so I'll probably pick them up next week for my ...   :-X

I know the answer....But I won't spoil it.  :)

i put the pacer away... figure my dad sold most of his cars, so he has a huge space available... why not actually put the car away? gives me more space and i know that the car is out of the elements...

hope it doesn't leak much on my dad's floor!
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

have an old sign from my dealership under it! hopefully the old model dodge avenger doesn't become a big collector piece or i might regret using the sign as a drip pad.

I picked up my winter wheels yesterday from the brother in law as he had finished painting them (lead up to this in post #3278 of this thread).  They are a charcoal metallic.  I put a coat of Poor Boy's EXP sealant and cleaned up the tires prior to install.  I didn't initially like them, but they are growing on me.  Either way, they are a change from the summers.

In the future I may paint a portion of the center cap the same colour.  The center cap consists of a plastic center with a metal shroud that fits over.  If I painted the metal the same colour, there would only be a thin silver outline on the center cap which I think would look better.

A sidenote, as a joke the BIL plasti-dipped one of them yellow and had them stacked in the shop so the yellow was on top.  My stomach felt sick for a minute prior to me realizing it was just plasti-dip.  As far as the plasti-dip goes, it was pain in the ass to remove where it wasn't applied very thick.  That was before I figured out a simple degreaser eats away at the plastic and aids greatly in removal.  ;D

Without center cap:

With center cap and after sealant applied:

the finish looks great... i think i'd opt for the center cap done as well, but that's just me. think it looks good either way.

Swapped the tires on Tundra for Blizzaks DM-V1.  Very quiet and smooth on the road, we will see how they handle winter in a few weeks, but I'm confident they'll do just fine.

These look very nice.  Now I'm thinking I should have picked up an extra set of rims for winter and do the same  :D

I haven't had any time to reapply Rain-X to the Corolla.  Really wanting to do that one of these days.

Winter tires are scheduled to go on the Corolla on Nov 12 and on the RX400h on Nov 13.  Forestah is in the balmy climate of upstate NY and will get her winter boots put on Nov 22.

I have to say, Bridgecity, that is one sexy-looking truck (and I'd imagine darn-near unstoppable in the white stuff)

Just keep a close eye on kijiji.  I bought my spare TRD set with tires for $500 and I've used the tires for two summers now.

Thanks NoTo.  It is a brute in the white stuff, and can be a lot of fun.

Based on my own opinion and everyone else's I'll be painting the center caps!
