I picked up my winter wheels yesterday from the brother in law as he had finished painting them (lead up to this in post #3278 of this thread). They are a charcoal metallic. I put a coat of Poor Boy's EXP sealant and cleaned up the tires prior to install. I didn't initially like them, but they are growing on me. Either way, they are a change from the summers.
In the future I may paint a portion of the center cap the same colour. The center cap consists of a plastic center with a metal shroud that fits over. If I painted the metal the same colour, there would only be a thin silver outline on the center cap which I think would look better.
A sidenote, as a joke the BIL plasti-dipped one of them yellow and had them stacked in the shop so the yellow was on top. My stomach felt sick for a minute prior to me realizing it was just plasti-dip. As far as the plasti-dip goes, it was pain in the ass to remove where it wasn't applied very thick. That was before I figured out a simple degreaser eats away at the plastic and aids greatly in removal.
