changed spark plugs on the VW Rabbit.

old one was NGK.   looked good.

Looks too lean, but need close-up to be sure.

For plugs with 130,000 km, it looks great. ;D

Did a rear brake job on the Fusion. Not very happy that they were completely worn out at 60,000 kms... I also have never seen brake pads so freakin' tight in the anti-rattle clips (both in original and with the new after market ones). Probably explaining the wear issue. Lots of complaints on Fusion forums about this but folks think the root cause is stability control... They would probably think otherwise with a little more hands-on experience :)

Finally installed the rear speakers to the Odyssey.  So the deck, the fronts, and rear are done.  Quite happy.  Just have to fix the vibration noises from the fronts due to the bass.

Drove the Sonoma for a Home Depot run - first time I've driven it in over a month now, have an E-test booked on Wednesday so I am going to try to drive it a few more times before then.

Swapped the Firebird over to winter wheels :( Washed and waxed both sides of the summer wheels before storing

Washed the SLK and did my annual inspection of the top mechanism. Also treated all the seals on the top with silicone lube.

Hey Winklovic. What wax\polish do you prefer ? I'm in the multi-stage of cleaning and waxing my car with Mothers Brazilian Carnauba Cleaner Wax. I picked it up on sale last week at C.T.

It smells like almond and strawberries. I like it in an open area and I normally don't like any added scents. The thing I like best about this wax is that it comes off the black seals easily if I get any on them.
Previous products I have used have left white marks on black seals.

I have also used Nu-Finish and some Meguiars products in the past. (Mequiars is part of the 3M family since 2008. They may share some product lines)

I know the question wasn't for me, but I figured I'd throwin my 2cents...

Through my work I get to try a lot of different waxes/polishes. The right stuff to use is completely dependent on 2 factors; the condition of your paint and your goals/expectations. Quickly, here's some of my favorites:

Decent Paint, looking for ok shine, but more protection/longevity: NuFinish
Excellent paint, looking for really deep shine: AutoGylm HD wax

If you want to get into multi stage:

Decent paint, really deep shine: AutoGlym super resin polish (or Mother Cleaner Wax) and Auto Gylm HD...Swap AG HD for Nufinish if you want to trade off some shine for longevity

Shitty paint, really deep shine: Mequires Ultimate Compound (preferably on a high speed polisher - unless you enjoy tennis elbow), then the two above.

Those are just the few off the shelf products that I regularly use, there are plenty of great products out there. 3M has a professional line available at most automotive finish shops that is excellent.

I just got a bunch of new stuff to try (Zymol liquid cleaner wax, G3 Supergloss and some other randoms). I tried the G3 on my truck and it did a nice job, but the paint was excellent to start with and it's a light color, so it's hard to tell if it's actually doing much. I did find it a little greasier than I am used to.

Well maybe he was bored, or had some other service to do.  Its a personal thing.  I wait for the daily highs to be in the single digits for 3 days in a row.

Usually end of November.
