Thanks guys :)
I didn't intend to wait that long, we both knew it was going to happen years ago. Truth is though, we met in highschool and wanted to have our lives together before getting married...Did university, got decent jobs, etc. Then we plunged into the whole first house thing, and that's kinda occupied that last 2 years (searching, moving, renovating, etc). So yes, 8 years is a long time, but it flew by and I feel like we're definitely beyond "ready".
She was extremely happy for me to finally have done it, so that's what really matters to me.

yeah.. didn't even notice the 8 years part... i met my wife under that long ago... we are having our second kid in November and have been married over 5 years.

everyone is different!

Yes, but I think the biggest difference is WHEN you meet your future spouse.   Note that Firm mentioned they met in high school, so I'm guessing he's only now in his mid to late 20s.

Different story if you meet your future wife when you're already 25.  (As was the case with me)

I asked my current wife after 3 months of dating. That upset my X who I was with for over 4 years and never asked her  :P

Thanks all  :D

We're both 25 now, so yeah, we met young and that does factor into why it took so long to get to this point.

That head in the photo is annoying, camera obviously focused on the head too! There's a bunch of better photos on my buddies camera, and even a video from a hidden camera, I am just waiting for him to process them.

I hear you, I was 5-6 years with my ex, broke up in the Spring.  Went to Spain for a couple of month in the summer, met my wife in the Fall.  Proposed within a year, we had discussed it, within the first 6 months.  But her mother and I don't always see eye to eye.  So we just waited a bit....

So around 1 month ago I installed the double din Alpine deck in the Odyssey, so I can have Bluetooth, USB, IPOD, and the CD Player (yes I still use those, as does my wife (from the library), and the stupid songs my daughter likes).  Well the CD player on the Odyssey was broken.  So it has been working well.

Today I cut 2 lawns, and the kids were sleeping, so I had a bit of time to kill.  House chores could wait.  I installed the two (polk audio) speakers in the front.  Went relatively well.  The panel came off easy, the new speaker fit in the plastic housing bracket of the old ones, and then I screwed the plastic housing bracket into the door.  Happy with the sound, when the bass is at 3+, there is an annoying vibration, so I may need to add something in there.

In a couple of weeks I will get to the back.  Already pulled them out.  But there is no plastic housing bracket for the rears.  And the three holes of that are in the metal, don't line up with the 4 holes of the Polk Audio.  FACK!

I hate those days. Actually, the Canadian Tire Gas bar near me doesn't allow more than 1 "pay at the pump" transaction on the same credit card per day. So I either have to go inside to pay or use a different card....very annoying.

Wow that's a dumb policy.  I fill up multiple times at the same pumps very often on the same day... unfortunately...

Did the wipers work? Or did they seize up from lack of use. ;)
