Today I changed the Sebring's Insurance Use from All Purpose to Pleasure. Starting tomorrow, I will be walking 5 km (return) four days per week. Not only will this improve my fitness and save me money, it will mean less wear and tear driving on Winnipeg's obscenely bad streets.

Good luck, I guess the insurance company is on standby for the switch come winter.. ;)

Ordered an Alpine CDE-W235BT receiver, and 4 Polk Audio DB651 speakers

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500W235BT/Alpine-CDE-W235BT.html

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000P0PF9G/ref=pe_385040_30332200_TE_item

Total with tax & shipping: $368 CAN

Person at Camping World initially made a mistake (gave me a higher quote), and forgot to give me the discount if I sign up for Good Sam Club.  Ordered a Class 3 receiver (Curt), brake controller (Prodigy P2), 12-2 duplex wire?, 2" hitch ball, hitch ball length drop & rise, Universal Wiring Kit, plus install labor

Total with tax: $860 CAN

Nice. What's the capacity of Class III? I didn't think our minivans could tow more than 3,000 lb.

I also just spend $1,000 on something for my Odyssey.

We had a 5000lb hitch on our Quest which had a 3500lb fitment. Probably fit other vehicles too.

I'm hoping to walk through the winter.  We'll see.

Re think your insurance.  Obviously there will be a few days in the winter that you will drive.  On those occasions you will be "essentially" not insured.  Tell them that your commute is 5K one way.  The extra cost is minimal, the potential loss could sink you.

The capacity of a Class III is 6000lbs, the Odyssey is rated for 3500lbs.  I chose the class III as the tongue weight is greater, and comes with a standard 2" receiver opening.

Here are the specs:

What do you spend $1000 on?  Lowering Springs or Rims?

Interesting, I thought that Class II was a 2 inch hitch. My Sienna had a 2 inch hitch, and the U-Haul people said it was rated for 3,500 lb. But they were wrong...

I'd go with Class III then because there's definitely a wider availability of accessories for the 2 inch hitch.

Hmmmm...  ;D

My wife's Grand Caravan has a Class II hitch (3500 lbs.) with a 2" receiver.

"NOTE: Most manufacturers call any hitch with a 2" x 2" opening a Class III hitch
It is not uncommon to see a 2" hitch rated at 3,500 lbs GTW called a Class III hitch"

Went for Vmax, but had to bail out at 230 kph due to resonance from the co-driver's seat. The car was still pulling strongly, though. This was on Autobahn, naturally.

Nicely written.

I take it that the resonance was of a high frequency.

co-driver's seat?  you mean passenger?   ;D

230kph is pretty good.  135?    250+ would be easy on that.

You'd be right and strangely it started as soon as I said "230".

Yes and yes. The 135i is limited to 250, but I have no doubt it would get there and beyond easily. I've run an X5 3.0i to 218 kph and there's a big difference to the 1er's advantage in how well it accelerates at 200+.

Just got finished putting a layer of Dodo Juice Orange Crush on the S2000.  Still my favourite Carnauba on red paint as it makes it so deep and wet looking.  Snowy, I still owe you a jar of it.

My plans for coming up the end of this month have been scrapped for obvious reasons, but hoping to come up sometime in August now.  Btw, I apply this Carauba with my bare hands instead of a foam applicator.....this stuff rocks and it'll really make the paint pop on your S2000!!!

I had some leather conditioner you rubbed in with your hands.  Really made you feel like you were in an intimate relationship with your car!!

  Looks awesome shane!  I saw another red one last week coming off the kingston ferry and thought it was you, but was somebody else.  There is also another yellow one close by (besides my buddy up the road from me) that i see a lot lately.  Just incredible the amount of interesting iron i am seeing this year.
