also, finally discovered that I can check the top speeds hit of these rentals I just bought at the auction.... there seems to be a pattern.... 179km/hr....

Did they come with S speed rated OE tires?   That seems to be how some speed limiters are set.

What did you do to your car today?

After reading about Spitfire carbs I opened the hood of the Miata and checked to make sure it had fuel injection. Whew, still does!!  I might be able to live with a big Holley on a big block nestled under the hood of a Cobra, but honesty I have no desire to have a non injected car again.

Cleaned out and lubricated the sticky seat belt buckle.  Now it clicks on the first try.  There is a reason to ban eating and drinking in cars.

Yellow electrical tape?  Don't use duck tape (aka duct tape).  Us chickens won't approve and your other sponsor wouldn't hear of it.  ;-)

Yesterday I gave the paint on the SLK a really good treatment since I'd kinda neglected it for the last year or so. Mequires Ultimate Compound, Auto Glym Super Resin Polish & Auto Glym HD wax. All done by hand as I was afraid to use the buffer on "good" paint, lol.

Today I bled the brakes on the Radical, I had to replace the brake switch as I no longer had brake lights.

Then I mixed up some resin and started fixing the fiberglass on the car.  First time I do fiberglass so I started with the inner fenders, they were beat up pretty bad with holes and cracks.

Next I will fix my front splitter and build some places to tie wrap my headlight wiring in.

Fixed the door handle on the Spitfire. It was driving me nuts. Would work off the car but not on the car. Took a while to figure out but when installed it would somehow engage the lock always. Disabled the outside lock and it works great. Someone had been in there before trying to make it work as it was loose and missing a bolt. Replaced and I can now open the door from inside and outside. When I bought the car you could do neither.
