Moved one of my PCs to the garage, and the car in ( so the PC screen was not in blinding sunlight).
Used VCDS ( Vag Com) and set the interior ambient lighting on...only took 3 changes via the computer and 3 more on the infotainment "secret menu" I liked the ambient lighting on the M-B when it gets dark I'll see how it looks on the Q5.
Also set the 'D' symbol to display the actual gear.
Chickened out from enabling the TPMS...looks as if the car has it and it is an option to enable it ( $350) but VCDS can do it for free..
Also chickened out from stuff like flashing the brake lights when doing a full rate stop and other stuff the car has but not enabled for NA.
So FWIW I have the uptodate VCDS cable for reasonably modern, post 1995, VAG group cars ( including Bentleys!) but I do not have have a laptop so my willingness to have others use the cable ( which is the expensive licensed bit of VCDS) is limited by that. Moving a desktop to and from the garage is a pain.
