Got it treated with Krown again, second time in six months.  Originally got it done in January for some protection against winter.  The product does flow much better in warmer temps and is more effective if applied in June-September range.

If you're a caa member may or June is the best time as discounts apply.

Was thinking of doing that next week, so I just go to any Krown dealer and present my CAA card?

A friend of mine, who is a professional photographer, did a photoshoot of me and my Cobra.  Can't wait to see the pics...

Post them up when you get em.... :)

Here's the first one John has shared so far.  Should be more to come.

The HDR treatment kinda emphasizes the 3M stone chip film on the nose, though...

Looks fantastic!

When you go to pay show them your caa card and they will give you a scratch and win. Normally it's 25 dollars off but it could be up to $500.

Keep me updated, in hindsight I wish I had the time to get a better aftermarket one, and change it myself.  But since the car was already having its bushings replaced under warranty, I needed the car back ASAP, as that is the only car with the car seats.  So I just had them do it.  First out of warranty repair the dealer has done for me...($205)

Heard the Monroe Sensatracs worked better and come with a lifetime warranty. Picked up a pair for the rears today on sale for $51.42 each. I wouldn't normally go with these for performance cars but this is the family car. Can't beat the price and lifetime warranty.  I think the dealer charges around $150 each and only 1 year warranty.

Mine was $202 with tax at the dealer, never looked at how long it took them to put it in.. Whether they charged .5 hours or what.  Took them 2 hours to do the bushings...I don't care about that, it was free...

And the 1 year warranty sucks!

Drove car around the neighbourhood ... It did not die. Far from conclusive, but encouraging

Drove car a little further than the neighbourhod ... died.  I'll see who-ever has bright ideas in the technical questions.

Is that the Civic? The Bug would be x100 / min rather than x1000 right?

I thought his bug was manual which would also give it away  ;)

Must have a real delicate lawnmower, all my lawnmowers (Toro) /leaf blowers (Stihl) /weed eaters (echo) /snow blowers (Toro) get by just fine on Mastercraft oil, and regular gas from Petro Canada...

Delicate?  ::) WTF you talking about? An engine does not have to be "delicate" to run synthetic.  I'm an Amsoil dealer, so I can get one of the highest rated oils on the planet for the cost of Mastercraft.  It's a John Deere with one of the good engines (Kawasaki), so it's likely to out live me anyways.  By running synthetic, the engine will run cooler.  No harm at all in wanting to take better care of my stuff, is there?

I run synthetic in my Echo weed eater too.

Yeah but mine was a more obscure way to determine which car, and also rules out it being an auto bug :P

What, I run synthetic and Vpower in my lawnmower as well...why scrimp a few bucks and not take advantage.

I think my mower is running on 0W-30 German Castrol (wrong weight as it wants 0W-20 I think, but meh, it survives) and VPower.

The former I just had lying around, the latter makes for easier starts after the winter.

Snowblower is same.

0W20, really?  Most mowers are straight 30 weight stuff.

Guess I am cheap, when I have 6 things that run on oil.  Getting mastercraft on sale is fine with me.  It's certainly adds up to more than a few bucks in just 1 years.  And if it starts always, then I can't see how running synthetic makes it run better.

Rrocket, I didn't know you were a dealer, so no offense...

For me its a bit under 2L of Castrol GTX and about 10L of fuel. The difference between 87 and regular dino oil and synth and 91 isn't noticeable.  Mind you I only have a mower and a snowblower.
