It seem to me they have 2 extra "free" space available on the left to accommodate more digits on that pump display, isn't it?  :-X

You've obviously never seen anyone fill up an offshore boat.  $1000 bill no problem..

I concur, never! My biggest fill-up to date with my Volt was 30L of super (on a 35L reservoir) Feb 02, 2013 @ $1.484/L super, total $44.52  :o

Lifetime 362.1L / 43,943 kM

A 30-35 footer carries 500+ liters. And you can burn through it in an afternoon...
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

A friend of mine in Vancouver has a Fittipaldi ciggy boat, and he figures it takes about a hundred bucks in fuel to warm the engines and get away from the dock.

Yep...You always hear the big boat guys say "The faster your boat goes, the slower you'll want to drive it" because of fuel costs.

Even here on the highway, when gas price surge, let say above $1.50 / L for regular, you can observe an overall "mass" average speed slow down. Usually when i set the cruise @ 100 km/h, I don't expect to pass some many!

Me and the mosquitos changed over to my track tires.

Did you get your new tune yet?  How does it feel?
Yup. She feels strong.  Alignment, too.  Really looking forward to trying it out Friday.

I'm typing on my tablet so I'm feeling lazy.  Boost ramps up early and progressively to 20(ish) PSI and pretty much stays there for a nice, presumably flat torque curve right past 5000 rpm.  This is where it fell off the cliff before.  It feels strong the whole way and doesn't seem to be running out of breath.  I characterized by brother's since-traded GTI as having a nice liquid rush of smooth power delivery.... I'm feeling a similar vibe now on the TT, difference is that it comes on in a bigger OMG rush at the start.  It feels seriously quicker now.  The alignment (as much as I could test it) feels like I'm getting crisper turn-in.  I was scrubbing the front 3 weeks ago in an evening track session at CMP, I expect that tuning out camber to -1.5 in the rear and using similar settings in the front have restored the neutral feeling I had last year.  Since I now have adjustable upper and lower lateral links in the rear, this is easily done.  I will buy camber plates for the front, but in the meantime -1.5 is the maximum you can get by loosening the subframe bolts and pushing it out as far as possible.

My fingers are tired and my touch screen is worn out.  ;-)

Sorry, no install pics. Got too dark out for pics installed, but wow they look good. The sequential tailights are so cool :D plus the smoked look is great with a black car.

Alfa hit a rock on the road today thrown up by a dump truck. Smashed the oil sump and ruined my custom exhaust manifolds to the cat. Talked to the owner, he was surprisingly accommodating [he also has a classic car] and agreed to pay for my repairs. That made a terrible situation just a little bit better. Now just to find the damn parts...that exhaust was custom made by a Ferrari shop in Japan for my car, 1 of 1.

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Just in case this has to eventually go through insurance.  You didn't hit a rock laying on the road, that's collision and your fault,  a rock flying from an oncoming truck hit your car.

Oh I know, it was bouncing on the road after it fell from the truck. Not just for insurance purposes, but that ACTUALLY happened.  ;)

I am shocked that the driver was willing to cover the damages. I always just assumed that this would fall into the "road hazards" bucket and you'd have been stuck with the bill. Unlucky that it happened at all, but lucky that the other guy seems really decent.

I tried this once against a clown gravel truck driver in Sudbury and was told by insurance that once an object hits the road (one bounce) it becomes a road hazard and its up to you to avoid. If the object hits the car directly from the truck its the fault of the truck driver. The truck company said good luck, we great insurance and lawyers  ::)

That stinks about the gravel truck. At least the guy is trying to make it right.
